James404's 225g+ SPS Dominant

I'm hoping that I have finally gotten rid of them, I have been dipping every 3 days now and haven't seen any in about 2 weeks, I am going to reduce dipping now to try to salvage what corals I still can, I have lost so many its not even funny :(

i hear ya there. i pretty much have lost all my sps due to those little basts. i'm going hard core qt and dip method with the new setup. not trying to go through that again. i can say that they deff picked certain species to attack hard. i have a stag and a purple plasma frag that have not been affected by them. i might frag those up and try them in the new tank .... maybe, lol.

Will be posting updated pics soon, new tank is up and running with fish and coral. All sps I previously had was tossed and started fresh. Still working on the filtration room, just finished running the electric, 3x 20 amp circuits I ran... Stay tuned guys.

Heres a few I was able to snap tonight real quick, nothing spectacular, tank has been cycled a few weeks and doing its normal algae cycles

Looking good! ReefSavvy really does build a well-crafted tank. It's looks as if things are shaping up nicely.

Nice! It's looking really good. Do you have plans to combat the algae beyond water changes?

Thank you, I will do weekly water changes and be running GFO, carbon and skimmer once everything is plumbed into the filtration room, currently no skimmer or GFO/carbon is being run on the tank but I have a decent CUC going.

Finally made some progress today. Got the supports under the floor. Was not fun to say the least. I really wasn't sure if my body could get through the hole and there was absolutely no way to make it bigger. My fiance was kind enough to document it.

Congratulations it's a boy....no a man?:fun5:

That's just dedication bro!!
Your tanks coming up really nice. It shows how good ur planning is.
So yu are goin for an open look that's cool!!
Much more space for your corals to grow out and it will be great to see that. Even iv "attempted" a minimalistic look for my tank.

Congrats on your baby, that's one frag that's gonna grow up super fast!! :)
Keep us all updated!! All the best to ya on your Reefing journey.

Happy Reefing!

James

Sounds like it is comming together. Can't wait to see what you do with the rest of this build.

Hey James - any updates? I'm starting to get the itch to start my tank build, but still need to build up the funding a little more. Hopefully when that Christmas bonus comes from the boss, I'll be just about ready to go on it. :)

Matt

So its been a while since I've updated here, for a while there wasn't much to show to be honest. I have finally made a lot of progress over the last few days.
