Jebao Cross Flow Pump

And it's not like this arguement hasn't happened here about ten times in the past few years.

Just get over it. They are going to sell them and people are going to buy them... probably including me!

I think it is funny that so many people bash Jebao. Yes, some people have had issues with some of their products, but so has every other manufacture. Jebao has been around for 2 decades. They are the trusted name brand in that area, much like Ecotech and Maxpect. Their products are properly retailed for the quality of products. I love Jebao and have never had an issue with their products. I will try one of these as soon as I am able to get my hands on one.

Finally ! I have been waiting patently for this. $20.00 in parts selling for $300.00 ! Come on ! Who is fooling who ?

They fear Jebao as it is growing too fast and not supporting any retailers.

Jebao comes to hobbyists through Amazon/Ebay, while the other guys go through smaller middle men who want their cut. Ebay takes %3 cut

Tunze ever produce any patent documents was it all just fanboy crying?

Reefbreeders has been a Jebao/Jacod retailer for a while now and a Reefcentral Sponsor.

Never understood why anyone would buy from anyone other than amazon/eBay; it's 20% cheaper for the exact item

Reefbreeder has good customer support and will handle any warranty issues. Like Coralvue does for Maxspect. Ask any Canadian how valuable that is who can't use Coralvue as Coralvue is a US distributor and can only handle US based warranties.

Has anyone had any success in finding any IP documents at all related to Maxspect? I have searched both the USPTO and WIPO Patentscope (international) and have come up dry. Is Maxspect a subsidiary with IP held in a different name?

Not surprised, From what I understand Maxspect products are all just imported Chinese made products which are rebranded anyway (razor vs.zetlight for example). Often times even the same molds are used for the knockoffs and the only difference is quality control in the factory. Sometimes it's a stretch to even call the factories a factory.

This is all very prevalent in the automotive performance industry. Companies buy large lots factory direct on Alibaba, rebrand them, and act like they engineered them from the ground up.

I for one am very excited about the jebao gyre. The quality of the Maxspect piece doesn't seem very good (bushings, wiring, blades) and at least with jebao it'll be priced where it should be. Will also be able to get them on Amazon prime which is great for warranty stuff.
The Zetlight was a TERRIBLE knockoff of the Razor so that's not the best analogy...

I can't imagine much worse than the 16k razor I just got rid of, zetlight must have been truly awful. That's definitly for a different thread though.

Must have been user error as one of the best all led tanks I've seen is using these!

I would think with the lawsuit going on they would have a cease and desist order on them at least till the court comes up with a verdict.

A hydor lawsuit cease and desist would only apply to those affected products and the courts typically do not give that unless they are further into the proceedings...

Im not talking about hydor, im talking about the maxspec gyre. Sounds like that one also is being in the same as the hydor.
