Jebao Cross Flow Pump

If one wanted to spend more money on an apex to do a function already built into a product. [emoji3]

Already had the Apex before the Vortech pumps. Bought it after a heater malfunction crashed my tank, heater controller was about $100. Got my apex for about $300. It also makes monitoring the tank while
I'm traveling easier than timers and it got my wife and kids to help take care of the tank.

It has gotten to the point now where I need "permission" and a family discussion to make changes to the display tank (rock, fish and corals)

They don't care about the sump, I guess the dirty work is mine.

I just use a Ranco controller. I am an industrial Processor control tech and do all my own controls work. Don't travel so need to have any remote access. Would just use a PLC instead of a Apex if I wanted to automate my tank as I could do a lot more with a Allen Bradley than a Apex. Been programing PLC's for 30 years now. Its cheaper using Allen Bradley for me.:)

10A worth.. so 1200W worth?

This is an amazing find!

Groceries use this exact unit in their freezers. It's been working great for my reef for 5 months and counting

Based on what I've been reading on RC, the Maxspect Gyre has serious reliability issues. Based on my experience with Jebao RW pumps, a Jebao Gyre would likely have a half-life of 15 minutes. But to each his own.

I use those STC 1000s to temp control my fermentation fridges and kegerator. They rock and are dirt cheap. Plenty of write ups on home brew forums for making clean and safe installations.

I use a similar temp controller (inkbird brand from amazon) that has been rock steady for the last 6 months or so.
