You may not like the Gyre and that is your choice but do not over exaggerate the issue. There may have been some issues but Coralvue has great customer service. I had a launch Gyre with none of those issues but Coralvue still sent the parts to make sure I didn't. Some of the people that work at Coralvue have been a members of RC for a long time and great contributors. Also all the issues have been taken care off.
The poster doesn't list their location, you're assuming they are in the US (which has decent customer service via coralvue) same can't be said for everywhere else though.
On new stock of the 130....150 still has issues with fixes not being standard.
