Just sharing... nothing important

my newer tank shots suck because i was experimenting with lower shutterspeeds.... thats why some of the other pics in this thread are so dark. then there are the ones that glow green... those were taken with a sony. I love pictures... i love tank pics, coral pics, fish pics ... you name it. I just dont like mine :(

before OD'd Radiums, I was running p14k 250s on pfo hqi (still run them on the frag tank)

if i ever bag the radiums... i will run 3x 250w 10ks on m58 with 3x 140w URI 03's

in fact.. i have been thinking of running the 10ks in the summer and the 400s in the cooler months.

Thats what I run, but only two MH because they are in Lumenarc III reflectors. I really like the look and color of my tank, wish I had more florescence but other than that I like them. Really brings out ALL the colors of the spectrum.

unfortunately the purple rimmed cap and the orange cap havent grown back in from where i'd hacked them up in this shot... but no worreis... caps are weeds anyways.

hah..thanks... i actually got that coral from chad at reefscience around nov 04.... i've almost killed it several times... it doesnt grow extremely faster either.

photography... i try... but i always find plenty wrong with each shot i take.... every once in a while i get lucky.

thanks bucket....

thrlride... pbt is new... had it about 6wks... went thru a strict hypo treatment in QT and then was added to my tank which went thru a hypo-fallow treatment years ago. the desj and regal beat up on the pbt the first coupla days. never a spot appeared on the pbt, which to me shows that a tank can be ich (crypto)-free. It took about a week for them all to iron out their pecking order, but they all get a long well now. I gotta get a little weight on the pbt because he came in rather thin.

I shot this pic of the pbt when i first put him in. Not a great pic because he was racing around the tank pretty fast. In fact, his activity has rubbed off on the desj and regal and they are more active swimmers now as well.

Pic of the pbt.......
(the dark spot on him is either on the lens or the tank glass)

they can be really tricky, but once you get a healthy one and get it settled into its new home.... they are great fish. I was able to buy this one outta the box of new stuff at the lfs before it ever hit their water. I think this made a huge difference. One i got from them before died within a few days in QT from amyoolidinum (i have no idea how to spell that word)

I have my PBT for six years now.
I have this fish look like this many times with no explanation .

And in a month back to his own glory.

Kip. Not sure how the hell I missed this thread. Just spent the better part of an hour reading through. I think I knew most of it - but it was fun to read anyway.

Truely a labor of love... You've outdone yourself.

and just when i can sit back and enjoy this tank... i decide to set up one in the lobby of my office.

the powder blue has settled in very well... my corals that were tough to color up are starting no to resist my efforts.... all is well in the tank. Finally, after all this time I can just sit back and enjoy it.
