Kessil A360WE

I don't think you can. Although Kessil is releasing there own for $99 soon.

I meant how do you do it manually? Do you set it to low intensity in the morning and then higher it as the day goes on and then lowering again or do you just turn it on one setting all day and leave it alone until you turn them off?

If you happen to be home all day, or your tank is where you work, you could try and manually use the same cycle we use with our APEX. But that seam like it would be a pain. I would probably just use a timer, find the color I liked, and not worry about messing with them.

I watched that to. The only thing I would add is if you set the start or end intensity to 0 the lights will not come on or turn off at the time you program. The lights seam to turn off at a intensity of around 12.

Good to know. Do you just use the ramp profiles or do you also couple them with a straight on/off schedule as well?

The newest Kessils can be controlled to any intensity when set to 0 for program starters. That is how mine are set to run under the control of my Bluefish controller.

I'm running 4 Kessils on a 72in 240 gallon tank... I LOVE them, but found the need to also supplement with T5's.... currently have two 80Watt T5s, and plan to add two more in addition to the 4 Kessils.... beautiful growth, and love the look of the two combined :)

Plus, can get two T5 retrofits with ATI bulbs for about the cost of a single Kessil, so good cost/perf ratio also :)

Just wondering if anyone had success running kessil 360we alone for maxima clams? If so, at what depth? Thanks

I have not tried it yet. When was researching these, before I made the purchase, I read of several people that have. I am pretty sure one of the posts I saw someone had one on the bottom of a 150.

Can I join the Kessil Club? :) I have a bunch of new corals so it will be easy to see growth! Btw.. I have a clam down at the bottom. Only had the lights for about a month though. 125 gallon.

My lights arrived today. I've already got my Apex programmed and ran some tests with one of the new Kessils to verify my programming. Now I'm just waiting for my articulating mounting hardware to arrive tomorrow and Friday as well as some custom clamp plates to allow me to mount the lights to my rack without having to drill and screw them too it. I will remove my old lights and set the kessils up Saturday at which point I fine tune my programming.

Plan is to take PAR readings from my existing LED's first so I can start off with slightly lower PAR. I will remove one of my existing lights and hang two Kessils in it's place so I can adjust the spectrum in my Apex to match my existing Reeftech LED's. I spent some time dialing in my existing spectrum so I'm going to shoot for that as my starting point in conjunction with similar PAR levels to acclimate the corals safely.

Pictures of my install will follow this weekend. I will get some good shots and a video of my motorized light rack too.
In the mean time, here is some "light porn"...
