So how long is it safe to say it's a "doneski" ? It's been a full week now. My Potters started coming out the next day and after a few is like a clock. He's one of my fav's so far, between the BorB Anthias. But I'd really wish the Bipart would just wake up and be happy :bounce1:

Yeah, a week is a long time. You've checked the tank at all hours of the day? No sign of a body?

My potters leopards are doing really well after getting them last Saturday. I dosed prazipro yesterday. They are eating PE mysis, rod's food, and various other frozen foods. My only concern is that they don't seem to pick at the rocks much. Should I be concerned about this?

My first leopard wasn't a picker initially, and still isn't. Every one that I got later was. If they're eating, you're looking good. I would only be concerned if they weren't eating and weren't picking.

Thank you. They seem very healthy, but they pace more than other leopards I have had in the past. Maybe I am just nervous because they are supposed to be much harder than most leopards, excluding the choatis?

When I had my potters it never really went for the rocks, maybe the occasional pick. In fact none of mine do it very much, not like a mandarin for instance.

As above as long as it is eating I wouldn't worry.

hmm my potters is constantly swimming around looking at the rocks and picking.

On a side note, any hints on catching a leopard? I'm trying to move my potters form the QT to the main tank and every time I go to get him he dives into the sand. Today I tried putting a container in there with food in it to see if I could get him to go in there but he just dove into the sand as I was putting it in. I'd rather not fish him out of the sand, but it is starting to seem like that is the only option.

I caught an ornate out of my tank using a fish trap. My potters seem more skittish than other leopards I have had in the past. Not sure a fish trap would work on them.

here's mine, had hime for about two years now coolest fish ever.

awesome. mine is the same one but my yellow coris is kicking his $%#. 125 well established tank. yellow coris is about the same size as the leopard. also have a sea grass wrasse. my yellow never bothered my old leopard but he hates this one. the leopard trys to come out but instantly gets chased by the yellow. i tried using a trap but the yellow wont even get close. i think im going to try a tiny hook or the trap again. any ideas on what i can do if i cant catch the yellow?
i hope i can cuz i dont know how much longer the leopard is going to last being harrased. plus i wana replace the yellow with a radiant anyway. ugh...

The leopard will not last if it is harassed. But I have no ideas on catching your fish.

My Potter's is the smallest in the tank. Sailfin, yellow tang, maroon clown, BorB and Squarespot Anthias. All pretty aggressive minus my mandarin, yet the potters lets them know who has the teeth! He holds his own very well! The Sailfin and BorB by far are the most aggresive fish.

On a side note for the Bipart I put in last week, i think I'm gonna dig in the sand a little, if he's dead i'd rather not leave him in there to decay and destroy my water quality. Plus I've seen some Ceriths and Naussaris snails in the vicinity.

UPDATE: I dig a little and nothing..... so now I'm wondering. There is a spot in the front by my acan that looks dug out. Could he have moved when i wasn't around? Sneaky bas@#!$

I finally got my hand on a leopard. I was looking for a meleagris but only found an ornate. Anyways, it was fat and looked healthy. However it had just came in shipment and had to be acclimated from about 1.020 to 1.025. It burrowed after being dripped for 2 hours and hasn't seen it since (36 hours) I'll post pics if it ever comes out.

Well, I just got done writing my last post and my girlfriend screamed. The wrasse is out. Still looks very shy (hanging with the clowns around the elegance coral) but it already eating mysis. I'm very glad it looks like it's doing well. Pics to come
