I love the way they start encrusting. And I love the way they glow under actinics too.

mine tends to grow like yours...really low to the rock but likes to encrust a lot. Do you know if the bonsai will eventually grow longer branches?. I've grown mine from a broken branch from my friends tank about a centimeter long.

In addition, does anyone else have theirs growing some green on the base? I'll get pictures when the tank lights are back on.

I recently bought an extremely browned out bonsai and am wondering if my location is appropriate. How intense do you have these in your lighting, or is the purple fairly lighting independent?

I have a very small one I got CHEAP. I hope it's a garf, but at thies early stage it's hard to differentiate between it and a valida...

Anyone know what that one right under it is though? It looks exactly the same as the bonsai but it is more green with blue tips.

My GPB about 5 months ago- has grown significantly since then no new pics.
Its literally right under 400 20k radiums( 8 inches or so) thus this deep purple/blue.
