Which of the Petco and PetSmart stores in the Bay Area have a saltwater department?
Not that I expect to find high quality or knowledge there but sometimes they may have items I'm looking for at reasonable prices. So it's probably worth checking them out once in a while.

BTW: The ones in Fremont have only freshwater.

I have updated my Bay Area LFS map

Layers finally work! So I was able to move closed businesses to a separate layer (I know Gresham will be pleased. )

I am keeping the map "view only" due to repeated vandalism. I would be happy to add a couple of additional editors. If you want to help maintain the map and you are an officer of a bay area fish club (BAR, NVR, Wine Country Reefers, etc), NOT associated with any business appearing on the map or if I know you personally then PM me and I will give you edit permissions.

Regarding Atlantis Aquarium.net/Baja Reef:

Atlantis has left that location and now it's only Baja Reef there (even though the old Atlantis sign is still on the outside)

From what I gather Atlantis is now operating out of their garage.

Sadly, Seascapes Fish & Pets Inc closed in Mountain View. Unfortunately, there are no shops in the penisula between San Mateo and San Jose. Someone should open one

Steve from Baja Reef told me about it. The owners wanted to sell the business to someone else but the landlord raised the rent from $6000 to $9000 a month which killed the deal.

I'm kind of glad that I have a string of good stores on this side of the bay.

Hi, I'm going to be in the Bay Area in about a week and a half and was wondering if you had to choose one store, what store would you visit? I know I'm asking a lot, but I just figured I could get a store to check out. I want to see unique things.

Unfortunately Baja Reef closed for now. Steve had to move because of a rent hike at the old location and couldn't find a new warehouse. So for now everything is in storage.
But I hope Steve will sooner or later reopen a store...
