My 240g FOWLR

I am currently running phosban gfo, and was thinking of a pellet reactor. I have one but have been on the fence about setting it up. Any tips on what to do?

Any issues I've ever read about have dealt with alk and sensitive corals. I don't see any reason why not to use one on a FOWLR.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about biopellets. Just rinse your carbon and don't let it tumble, and you'll be fine.

I recently added gfo to tank in phosban 150. Have done weekly changes, his diet is spectrum pellets, nori, pe mysis and I usually soak in selcon or garlic

OK, even though the rocks looked great, there was no swimming space for the fish in the front. After some time, I noticed the fish mostly swim in front of the rocks, not behind, so I redid the rocks again. This leaves way more room for feeding area...

It's not as nice, but it's more practical... pics as soon as the dust clears.

Well, since half the rocks tumbled to the floor this morning, pics will have to wait :-/

Tumbled or pushed? Perhaps your fish just didn't approve of the changes"¦

It's probably that stupid hippo tang wedging himself in places he doesn't belong. I never wanted that fish in my tank... no clue why I still have him

Lol, had to chuckle :) I have a hippo tang I got with a tank/live rock purchase and feel the same way. Stupid fish, keeps getting ich (even after 3 copper treatments), gets wedged in the rocks, eats me out of house and home, and will likely never make it to my main display.

I have a Desjardini that I need to re-home for the same reason. That and my Regal, Gold flake, and Chrysurus stand little chance to compete for food against it and my Naso once they hit the dt. The Naso will probably need to go as well. I like them both, but their total poop factories, consume a crazy amount of food, and the Desjardini loves to harass anything that crosses its path....
