My 240g FOWLR

Some updates... I finally moved the blueline angel and the one remaining tinkeri butterfly into the DT. I also added a small aussie harlequin tusk. I will likely have to remove the falcula butterfly, as the aggression from the semilarvatus is just getting too intense. I also want to remove the bream, as he is simply unattractive... nothing like the lovely photos I found online. I ended up putting the aussie CBB into the reef. I redid the rockwork on the right side of the tank and I think it looks so much better.... I'll post some pics today.

So, updated list:

Acanthurus leucosternon
Acanthurus fowleri

Two words...AMAZING AND AMAZING.. Love your tank Peter !

btw im really upset right now about my tank.. going through a case of Velvet ! lost a few fish! treating with cuppramine right now . hope wont lose anymore fish .

In love with and very jealous of the Ocellatus. Have they been difficult to maintain? I would love to add a couple of those to my collection at some point, i'm not sure i've ever seen them offered for sale. Are those from Australia?

Thanks... they aren't easy... picky eaters... I ended up losing the smaller one.

Beautiful as usual, love the rock work and of course the tank inhabitants. Maybe you posted it previously, but is your Regal a misbar?

Peter, I apologize if you've answered this previously but what do you use to light your tank? I'm looking at a very similar setup. I'm assuming the dimensions are 8x2x2?

Looking good Peter, glad things have settled down.

Thanks. Fingers crossed it stays that way :)

It got a bit beaten up by the meredithi when I first got it, and the scars actually healed in the form of some minor misbarring.

Juts two 4' T5's on each half of the tank.

Hi Peter great TANK.

Are you running any type of clean up crew - snails etc? Just wondering how you keep the detritus down.

No cleanup crew. I use filter socks religiously, and periodically go in with a MJ1200 to blow detritus out of the rocks, especially before a big water change. Some large Tunzes also help :)

Peter
I love the rockwork. would love to do something similar but afraid my large angels may knock them over. I guess your lr is glued?

Half are threaded onto acrylic rods, the others are pretty large... would take some major force to move them.

Anyone using carbon?

Anyone using carbon?

do you guys run carbon in your FOWLR or bio pellets?

looking to get some feedback on these items with FOWLR

I run a dual BRS reactor, both filled with carbon. I have a biopellet reactor that I still haven't hooked up :o.
