New AquaController 3/3 Pro Firmware

I thought it worked before having success updating the firmware, but my web pages did not upload correctly until the firmware got updated (as I mentioned in my previous post - not that it matters much). I reloaded the web pages and, after the firmware had been updated to 4.30 in the AC3P, got the "success" statement after each line in the status screen, and went pretty quickly (didn't get the "success" statement when it appeared to upload previous to going to ver 4.30).

Are we going to be able to edit the data points in the XML datalog? It looks as if the code is displayed in the xml datalog screen, but I couldn't edit the page. That would be a real nice feature, to be able to delete/change anomalous data points that screw up the y scale on the graphs.

You mean DHCP server, correct?

Oh, yea...

Allows the controller to pull an IP address from your DHCP server as opposed to a static setting the user must put into the controller manually.

I wish the controller retained some stretch of parameter data for web use when you have Aquanotes running. :(

You also get WINS support. The name you enter into the 'Hostname' field is the value you can enter into your browser which is kind of cool...

(in my case)

UPDATE, tried it like 10 times and it finally says 3.40s , YEAH

well knew it looked too easy. I still show ver 3.30s but have the newer screen on the left with the new option but all lines of "code" on the right.

And I can't figure out how to paste the screen to show you.

Use alt-print screen to grab a screen capture, then you can just paste as though you had copied it the normal way with control-V.

Hmm, and no graphs; I guess this one's for Curt. You might want to contact Neptune directly (support@neptunesys.com)

I finally got it all working with Tftps but am having the same graph problem even though I set it to log every 1 min.

Are you on a Mac by chance? I noticed on Safari that the graph doesn't even show up on the screen on my Mac. Fine on Firefox on Win XP though.

nope pc with vista home

Did you do the separate web page update? There are actually 2 updates you need to run. The first one gets the firmware, and the second changes the web pages. If that does not complete successfully, the box for the graphs won't even show up. I had this problem when my pages were not uploading properly. Once they all had "Success" after them, I was good to go.

I still get only a little box on temp with a TEMP/orp/ph and refresh.

And still can't post a picture no matter what, I can post it to word but RC will not post my pics of screen shots.

And how do you log every minute ?

I would throw the picture on photobucket and then link it. It sounds to me like your web page update did not complete correctly.

I've (personally) found that tftp works best but in many cases the issue with ac3Loader is that another DNS server is active.

I agree 100%, and I guess if Neptune Sys is trying to figure out the best way to do the upgrade once the firmware goes production, I vote for the TFTP method.

Setting up the ac3loader as a DHCP server seems klunky to me, and increases the chances of other things going wrong during the process. For example, when I turn off DHCP on my router, the router restarts itself, which causes every PC (including the one I was currently on) to renew it's IP address, and since the DHCP server is now down, they won't be able to. At least until the ac3loader DHCP server is up.

Fortunately, I had assigned a static IP to one PC on my network, so I was able to go back into my router through that. Otherwise, I would've had to reset my router and reconfigure it from scratch.
