does your lens have image stabilization? if so, turn it off when using a tripod. also a remote shutter release will help. they are cheap on eBay.

Well I spent my entire Sunday rearranging my colonies and today I'm nursing a sore back from being hunched over all day. It had to be done though; they were seriously growing and encrusting into each other. Anyway, I just wanted to share a FTS with you guys.
My tank is over 60" long so it's hard to get detail in my fts. Here's are two closer pics of each half. Let me see if this works out:
I'll try to take some macro pics this week if I get my taxes finished! Thanks to those who gave me camera advice, but I'm seriously a hopeless newbie.

Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry, but I don't purposely frag my colonies. Although I did make a few accidental frags during the rearrangement, but I'm saving those frags for trades. I'm looking for Jose's Candlelight Concert in particular. If anyone has it, maybe we can workout a deal?
Anyway, I did take a few pics since I had my camera out. Sorry about the quality of the pics though. I didn't have much time to tweak the settings. I really wish I was a better photographer and could capture the true vivid colors. In any event, enjoy.
My Red Planet is my largest colony. It's got to be at least 10" in diameter, grown from a small frag.
Top- down shot of it. It's the best I can do in the limited space without getting reflections.

Here's another cool piece. It's an unnamed deepwater. I got it a while ago from a friend who was trying to save it. It was completely bleached and had the acro smell of death. We all know what that smells like. Anyway, more than a year later and it's very healthy now.
I'm a gonna call it the Wayne Deepwater!

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah I will. I have a whole new generation of frags in my main display that I'll snap shots of. I'll also take pics of my new acquisitions in my shallow reef QT. Stay tuned

Dude looking insane!! And the deepwater has grown a lot. I love that purple plasma. Man so many crazy acros.
