Can you guys see the difference in pic quality? I think Smugmug is better.

Man you really want a coral named after you don't you! :lmao:

Beautiful tank; love the Purple Plasma - I recently lost mine.

Please post picks of the new goodies you got :)

Wayne.... I'm in awe of your tank. I'm jealous (in a good way)and will strive to have my tank look 1/2 as good as yours. Thanks for the pics

My pleasure guys! I'm glad you guys are enjoying them.

More pics! So this is the RR Wayne Acro. Yes I talked Tony into naming this one after me. It wasn't crazy looking but I liked the green/blue hue of the piece. It looked like this when I bought it:

But the blue changed to purple and it morphed into this:

I think the colors are even cooler today.

I don't think this one has a name. I bought it off an eBay auction awhile ago. It looks completely different now than when I first got it. Luckily I think it still looks pretty unique. I call it Mint Limeade acro:

I don't think this has a name either. It's a cool little highlighter acro. I call it Alien Highlighter:

I got this deepwater at RR. I don't think it's named though:

This brown little deepwater seems pretty blah, but I've been told it's very rare as it is ORA Dustin's Deepwater. I heard ORA as well as many hobbyist have lost their colonies. This sucker is a super slow grower for me. I've had it since June of last year and as you can see it has barely encrusted. It's currently in a very shaded area. I may move it so it gets more light.

This last one is of the original Mr. Pacman acro and the other one is from Tubs. I can't remember the schientific name, but its a rarer branching monti with unique branch structures:

Your corals are amazing. What's your plan for the bubble algae?

It's actually been 95% taken care of. I put like 6-8 emerald crabs in my tank and they've almost completely wiped it all out. I was very leery about using emerald crabs at first because I didn't want anything with claws in my tank, but a very trusted lfs owner(Ali at Amazing) told me that the small emerald crabs from I think the Caribbean were relatively safe. Anyway, the bubble algae got pretty bad and I couldn't stand seeing it anymore so I gave in. Ali picked up like 6-8 small ones for me and now I only have very little left in my tank. I'm actually thinking of ways to take crabs out soon. There's only one crab that I see every once in awhile that grew pretty big and is a little scary. They've left my corals alone so far, but once the bubble algae is gone, well lets just say I don't want to see what happens.

I've already caught 2 pretty easily when the lights were off so I think it's just a matter of time before I catch the rest.

Since the Peppermint shrimp took care of my aptasia problem. The only other pest I need to get rid of now is the majanos. I bought a majano wand but I haven't used it yet. I think I'm going to try to buy a juvenile blue face angel first and see if it'll eat them. That or maybe a butterfly. I haven't decided yet.

I've heard that bicolor angels enjoy eating majanos. I've had a pair of bicolors in my frag tank for years, they never touched any LPS or SPS. Thankfully I don't have majanos so I can't confirm if they eat those.

Why not a rare bicolor ( joculator) lol even though they don't float your boat!!
Good luck with the new addition they will look great as a pair.

Hmmm..really? I've never heard that before. Maybe if I see a baby one at the lfs, I may pick it up. Although I'd worry that my Interrupta may bully it around.

I've always wanted a large angel in my reef tank too. Ideally I'd get the new baby cb clarion angels but who knows when they'll be available to the general public. Thanks forte tip though.

Thanks Lawrence. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I miss my RCT pair I had many years ago. They got along so well.

Aaron clarion is very nice. A juvenile clarion will be even better plus they are very hardy and can be train not to touch corals

Aaron male is nice too but coral muncher like my butterfly ( ornate very pretty and cheap but have appetite for SPS ).

So I was told this is the RR/Tyree Purple Dragon Eye. I just got my piece before it was named and before Tyree got to it. Anyway, as you can see it's a pretty good grower.

I very recently just picked up a frag pack at Age of Aquarium too. They had some really nice stuff there which I didn't even realize it until I was escorted into the (secret)back room.

These frags are my favorite ones and are still in my QT shallow reef. Sorry about the heavy blue in the pics. I'm running a lot of super actinic T5's over them.

I think this is called the Evening gown or something like that. The colony is amazingly pretty.

This one is my favorite piece. It's a deep red milli with legit yellow polyps. I had to beg them to cut me a small frag. They were growing out their colony. I can't wait for this to grow out. Hopefully it's a fast grower like most milli's are.

the deepwater is very nice. Wayne I would really like to come experience your tank in something other then pics.

I'd love to have you guys overs especially because my pics stink and no one else appreciates my tank except for you reefers, but my wife doesn't feel comfortable with my 'reef geek strangers' coming to our house. Let me work on her or maybe one day when she's out...sorry though.

When did you pick this up? I picked mine up last weekend and another reefer picked up the other one.

But yes, you're right, it's one of the nicest millie's I've seen in a while
