I'm still wanting more - More - MORE!!

Can you back up, take another picture so we can see the viewing room the tank is facing, and use a flash please. :)

yeah melev, someones camera skillz are definitly lacking lol. jk jk. seriously that is a monster cant wait to see the 'whole thing from the front' :D very nice

Marc,

I did use a flash...at least it was supposed to flash but the light is so bright the camera compensates for it I guess. The viewing room is not for public consumption, so all I have to offer is a tank sitting in an 8" deep window surrounded by green board. There's really nothing more to it.

I'll try that shot after dinner. I really am not sure why those last ones came out like the room was so dark since I took them during the day.

As you take the shot, aim your camera and focus on the sheetrock & 2x4 construction, rather than at the tank itself. This will lighten the surrounding area, and the tank will be whatever it is (brighter, I bet).

How about this???

Perfect. Now back up 20 feet and do it again. :)

Nice set up Man

gumbybc I don't think I replied about the wood sealer. I used West System Resin. It's the stuff used for laying up fiberglass, only I didn't use any glass. Just mix using dosing pumps and paint on. Does a great job.

Good question. I finished the walls with bilge paint and then applied flashing tape like what is used to install windows. I did it just the same so that any moisture would run down the surface of the wall rather than into the wall/sheet rock. Once that was in place, I sprayed handi-foam into and all around the gap between the tank and the wall. This really blocks sound well!

I know. I know...I am subscribed to your thread. sniffle.

It's OK, you will get there, no reason to be in a hurry, I am just playing with you... You have a larger tank then I and if I had 24psi I would prob shoot myself because the 19" after 58hrs of non stop running seems like forever to me, and that is only the display, I still have the sump and ref to fill :(... Hang in there it will be well worth it in no time and maybe today or tomorrow you will get your booster pump and then be rolling
