So what are everyones plans for the snow? Unfortuantely I will have to make it to work one way or another, but wish I can just stay home and relax. Anybody worried about there tanks? I am crossing my fingers that everyone has no problems during the up-coming bad weather. Stay Safe Everybody!

play ps3 (name is nixer1 if you wanna add me)
play with the fishes.

My job told us to pack a bag. It's a hotel, and they are planning to put us up for the night in case we get snowed in. Which is nice, but they were hinting that we would have to work the morning shift (not so nice).

They are telling us "officially" that we need to be in. My boss said to make sure our virtual phone clients are up and working on our laptops so I might be doing remote support tomorrow.

My employer is panicking. I am up for overtime and may get 12+ hours of double time and a half.

I'm fortunate to have a home based office, so I will be working from home today... :)

My work is like 2.5 miles away so it's not too bad. We're going to leave early today and are planning on being closed tomorrow, possibly Thursday depending on the totals and who can make it in.

I'm going into work. I work for a TV station so there's no excuse NOT to be "open". lol I might pack a bag but we've all been thru this before.

Stayin home an taking care of the kids (my fishies)! Pulling out the generator just in case. If I dont lose power, going snowmobiling...yeehaw!

For those going to work tomorrow.... please pack a blanket, water, and other safety supplies.

I work about 20 min from home, and the university will never close, I will be going to work either way, just hoping my biochemistry exam is canceled or postponed. An extra couple days of studying would be nice.

I work at a community college and they already announced that they will close today at 3. I suspect that most colleges will close in the early afternoon...but i have to be there.

I wish, UIC doesn't close, professor can cancel classes but offices remain open, per an e-mail they sent out:

"-Extreme Weather

As a matter of policy, the campus is never closed. The residential, healthcare, and research aspects of UIC operations make this a requirement.

In the event of extreme weather conditions, the campus will continue to operate during regularly scheduled hours. Staff members are expected to report to their respective offices or workstations."

Even Purdue closed today. It was their 3rd snow day in 11 years. I was there for the last 2 five years ago and the only thing open were the bars. It was awesome! Loyola Law however has not closed and I don't anticipate them closing anytime today.

I heard years ago DePaul closed, and the law students caused a big stink about it, got some money and now DePaul won't close down ever, I don't know how true that is but a funny story if nothing else.

They have already called off school for the little ones early today and no school tomorrow
I work in IT so will just be working from home unless this storm blows over
Started the generator last night and got extra gas in the cans, nothing else but wait for it now :)

Yes. We're closing today at 3, and we're closed tomorrow. First time in a very long time that DePaul has a snow day.

We are closing today at 2pm - don't understand the point. Everyone will be non-productive waiting for 2pm to roll around...
