Any updates??? How is your wife doing? I do hope she is doing well...

How's the tank doing? I show it to my wife often in hopes of being able to do something like yours on a smaller scale.

Best wishes and prayers....

Sorry for the lack of updates, we had a couple setbacks with my wife's treatments. Her cancer is beginning to grow back and her liver function is also not responding to the treatments. It's been nonstop to the doctors. MD Anderson is now on her medical case.

The tank is running great. Surprise, surprise natural sunlight makes the coral is grow, I have no algae at all, daily tank temp runs between 76.8-77.4 Since hooking the skimmer to the main sewer line, daily 5 gallon water changes take about 5 minutes.

Dose

I've been dosing 50ml of vinegar daily
Tropic Marin Bio Calcium // AquaVitro Fuel

Feeding

Reef Nutrition // Phyto Feast // Arcti Pods // Oyster Feast
Rods Food, Nori, mysis , all with a Selcon soak

Current Water parameters

S.G. 1.0255 - 1.026 // NH3-4 0.00// NO2 0.0 //NO3 0.0 //PO4 0.0 //Mg 1450 //Ca 490 // Alk 9.4

I'll try getting some new pictures soon.

Thanks guys,

Joe and Kelly

Lots of prayers going your way!

Following along. Great looking tank. Prayers go out to your wife. I see you mentioned you owned both reef dynamic and super reef octopus skimmers before, which one did you like better out of those two?

No matter what happens, I wish the best for you and your wifey. Tank is looking good and things will get better with your wife. Remember its only a temporary set back.

Very nice tank, I really like the natural light setup you've put in!!

Best luck on your wife's fighting that dreadful disease. My prayers are with you.

Just read this thread this evening. So sorry to hear of your wife's illness. Praying for you and her recovery. Really enjoyed the pictures in your tank. I'm planning a 250 gal in wall peninsula tank myself. Got lots of great ideas from your thread. Thanks.
