Our 400 Gallon In Wall Natural Sun-Lit Reef"

Your wife is in my prayers

Awesome tank, solar tubes are now on my wish-list for my ultimate tank build! Ill pop it on the bucket list

Love the build.

Love the fact that it's sunlit. I so wish I will be able to do this someday.

Love the peninsula look and the way you built it in so nice looking.

Love the collection of fish you have especially the bird wrasse.

Love that fine choice of music.

Love the fact that you put a link in the SPS forum so I could find your build thread.

The horrible difficulties that your lovely wife and yourself are having to deal with, I'm not in love with that at all.
I wish you both the best and thank you for sharing your journey with all of us.
The good and bad.

I bet an achilles tang would love that tank:fish2: Did your wife have a sigmoid colectomy? Certainly hope she overcomes this, I'm sure the fish tank is a great source of enjoyment for her which always helps with healing.

I've just read this thread from beginning to end, this will definitely be on my list of upgrades. I've been looking for lighting upgrades that will save money and make my tank look awesome. I think that this might be what I am looking for.

One of my favorite fish. Yes she did, we are waiting on our cancer center to receive a newly FDA approved treatment called Zaltrap hoping we have better luck.

We enjoy sitting in front of the tank either with a cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine. Sometime this week our new granite bar will be installed in front of the tank.

Sounds great, let me know if I can be of help answering any questions.

Hi everyone, I have an update on the tank lighting, yesterday I added a light filter to the sun-domes it’s called ChromatiNet Blue. It’s a shade cloth, it reduces the spectrum of red and far-red light and increases the blue light spectrum I went with the 30% cloth. I’ll be watching it to see what type of effect it will have on the coral.

Wow that looks awesome, beautiful fish you picked out for it. Not sure how well i like the flower basket thing but im sure it will keep you from cracking your hip on that counter until you get used to it lol. I had the same procedure as your wife, never new what pain was until i woke up from that with no pain meds for about 2 hours. Things are so much better today with the treatment of cancer, i saw many people with it really bad in the center and they made it thru. I'm sure your wife will do just fine :)

It's hard to tell with photos, so what are your personal observations with the blue shade cloth? Is it a subtle dramatic change in colour?

The bar looks good, but I would have installed a bed footboard instead :)

wow, beautiful I want a beer. very nice and relax

Thank You!

Thank You! Yea thats my wifes touch, kind of hard telling her no. How long ago did you have the procedure? Glad your doing well.

Thanks Mr Wilson, My wife and I love the system you designed with Nineball!

There is a slight color change to the water and sand bed. I went with the 30% cloth, I'm going to order other grades of the cloth. It definitely looks like my reef is in deeper water. The coral still has the natural look witch I like, we feel like we're snorkeling in our living room all of the time.

If you and Nineball are in the Tampa area I would love for you to see the system in person, maybe sometime in the winter when it's 80 degrees here.
