hi, I'm still putting together all equipment before mounting the tank but i'm looking at what fishes to have. This is my first salt tank so i dont know much of salt fishes but as any newbie i could like to add this :

1 Zebrasoma flavescens
1 Paracanthurus hepatus
1 or 2 Amphiprion (dont know what subspecie)

Please make recomendations on these or any other i can safely add for a newbie. I know i have to add them slowly and when the tank is mature.

my tank is 72x18x24"high (135galon) with a 47Gallon Sump, I will also may add soft corals

1 Zebrasoma flavescens will work but be sure it is added last as it becomes territorial
1 Paracanthurus hepatus really requires a larger tank as it gets to be a foot long
1 or 2 Amphiprion (dont know what subspecie) Some are relatively peaceful (although no breeding pair can be described as peacefujl) and some like GSM are terribly aggressive

Please make recomendations on these or any other i can safely add for a newbie. I know i have to add them slowly and when the tank is mature.

We don't really recommend fish although we will be happy to provide compatibility observations of fish you select

Clownfish 2ea
Firefish
Bicolor Blenny
Lawnmower Blenny
Coral Beauty Angelfish

What do yall think? The only ones Im really set on are the FireFish and Clowns.

Royal Gramma 2ea
Blue Green Chromis 3ea Will likely winnow down to one or two
Clownfish 2ea
Firefish
Bicolor Blenny
Lawnmower Blenny Not really reef safe
Coral Beauty Angelfish Recently people have had difficulty finding healthy ones, also not reef safe

What do yall think? The only ones Im really set on are the FireFish and Clowns.

Hey I was wondering what fish to add to my reef tank. Its a 10g w/ HOB filter and about 14 lbs of LR. Right now i have a baby clown and a small dottyback. (I plan to get rid of the clown when grows out).
Im thinking I want a blue or yellow fish, would a clown goby or blue reef chromis work?

i have an 80 gallon (4ft x 18 x 22) tank
60 lbs live sand
110 pounds of live rock
hob octopus bh 2000 skimmer
marineland c220 canister filter that i clean every week
aqua 15 watt uv
2 175 watt hamilton metal halide with 2 vho super actinics.(mh are 14k)
brs dual brs and gfo reactor
2 koralia 1400 gph

livestock is like so..
1 diamond goby
2 3 stripe damsels
4 emerald crabs
8 hcrabs
about 40 mixed snails
no corals atm but i just wanted to know what type of fish would live happy in a 4 foot tank without having to upgrade when it gets bigger. i want a chevron tang soo bad and was wondering if i keep him alone in my tank would it be ok idc if i have to take my current fish out. if the tang isnt suitable, what about a gold stripe maroon? thanks!

The problem is that dwarf angels are grazers and yhou already have one grazer. I would consider it marginal but it might work.

Unfortunately, none. Two fish that will be aggressive. I can never advocate getting rid of fish, you should purchase what you can house.

A Chevron would really need a larger tank, but if you removed the damsels and supplemented with nori, you might get it to work. i DO NOT TRUST EMERALD CRABS. They can take small fish GSM clowns are hyper aggressive, especially if paired.

My wife really really likes Mandarins so out with the leopard wrasse and several wrasses that I wanted and in with some Anthias. This sort of changed up my fish list planning I had previously. I know you like and have recommended the N. carberryi before and wondered how well they would do with the Maldives Lyretail Anthias?

In my tanks I have groups of N. carberryi. If you want to mix I would suggest resplendents.

Ordered a CUC from reefcleaners
(i dont know if im going to get them from a LFS because i dont have a QT tank. so might order things online(i dont mind paying the shipping prices)

I want to get a goby/shrimp combo No problem as long as you have sand
pair of clowns Depends on species how aggressive they will eventually become

that's all I know so far. Should I get the goby/shrimp, then wait awhile to get my next fish?

I have questions.
1 could i keep a blue jaw triggerfish in my 75g reef setup with a flame angelfish, Foxface, and pair of maroon clownfish? Would a niger trigger work better?
2 could i keep a clown triggerfish in my 75? If not, how long could I keep a CT in my 75?. I plan on acquiring a 125+g tank in a year. Thanks, Pro

A large fish in a relatively small tank is not such a good idea. Maroon clownfish are going to be hyper aggressive once sexually mature.

As the ONLY fish, you would be ok. But NO other fish
