Always a pleasure.

How old are the clownfish? If they have begun mating it will be problematic.

I am not entirely sure, while I do see signs of them maturing in them, I am not sure exactly where they are in the process (and am certainly not a marine biologist) As I mentioned, the Chromis "hangs out" with them in their "territory" (which is the rock formation by the pump returns and they all get along without any aggression, which is why I don't think they are at full sexual maturity yet, but the (I assume female) clown is definitely getting a little larger and upper body is getting darker.

Quoyi Parrotfish with an acrylic tank this would make me nervous
Regal Angel
Australian Harlequin Tusk
Bandit Angelfish
Goldflake Angel
Flame Angel
Potters Angel
Banana wrasse pair
Hawaiian Cleaner wrasse
Moorish Idol difficult; read the dedicated thread on these in Reef Fish
Blue Tang
Black Tang
Achilles Tang
Niger Triggerfish these can be relatively docile or can be a major PITA

Thank you for your input :)

fine except as annotated

then it may be ok for a while. Hard for me not knowing where they are in the process; if they have a ways to go, you should be ok.

What's wrong with quoyi and acrylic? Scratches? I'll be adding the trigger last so hopefully he won't be a PITA

Yes, scratches. That species of trigger can go either way: fairly docile or PITA depending on the fish not the order of addition. I normally do not analyze aggressive fish community tanks because of the variability of temperament of this type of fish.

Oh I see.. I'll reconsider the niger trigger then and perhaps a male crosshatch will be A better choice.l Thank you for your input! :)

Tank info: 48L x 20W x 16H (~63gal shallow reef)
Sump: will add about about 20gal
Skimmer is rater for 150gal light bioload, 90gal Heavy
Tank will have 1/4 mesh screen top

Hello, I've made a few changes to my stocking plan and I'd like to see if there are any issues with the new species. If you could also let me know how you felt about the number of fish I would appreciate it too, though I'm not sure if that is something you typically comment on.

-2x Ocellaris Clownfish
-3x McCoskers or Carpenters Wrasse (1 Male, 2 Female) (Could drop this to one each if there was no significant advantage to keeping 2 females around or bioload/space did not permit 3) (added at the same time)
-1x Orange Stripe Prawn Goby
-1x Royal Gramma Basslet
-1x Midas Blenny
-1x Firefish (added first/early)

I would also be interested in a Tomini Tang if it was appropriate for the tank, considering it's size and everything else in it.

Thanks for any help you can provide, as well as the vast amount of information you've already provided throughout the thread.

Needed some feedback on CUC.. I have some snails in my 75gallon tank .. I want to add some hermit crabs to help control algae.

I had thought of getting blue hermits and one emerald crab .. But the LFS said they will eat your snails. Is that true?

If yes, then can I get red hermits? As I've heard they don't attack snails. Please advice.

Yes, they kill them. Sometimes they are eaten, other times just for their shells.

While not the subject of this thread, I only recommend snails of different varieties and capabilities. No hermit crabs.

100g 5 foot tank -

Can I put a One Spot Foxface (Siganus unimaculatus) in there? I'd also like to keep:
1 Ocellaris tank bred
1 Carpenter Wrasse
1 McCosker Flasher Wrasse
1 Hoevens Wrasse
1 Midas Blenny
1 Kaudern's Cardinal (tank bred)
I really like the yellow eye Kole tang, but wonder if the body shape of the Foxface would be too similar for them to coexist?

I would be happier with two grazers if the tank were a six foot tank, but both probably would work. The remainder should be fine; note you have some prolific jumpers so 1/4 inch mesh would be required.

Kole tang
Blue tang needs a much larger tank
Coral beauty or flame angel not coral safe

3 emerald or other crabs can take fish once larger; crabs are opportunistic feeders and not advised except porcelain anemone crabs which are filter feeders
Shrimp two to three depends on species of wrasse
Blue star will starve in this sized tank, especially when new

Snails snails snails turbo?

Rose bulb anemone after a year with proper lighting
Clam ? Not sure how it will go with all other fish
