Thank you for the advise. I will probably find a new home for the yellow tang, since there is always a chance for him to become aggressive, plus he is bigger than all of my new fish at this time. I will try to get a Regal angel (it is very hard to find a good dealer that sells Red Sea Regals). Could you share with me those feeding techniques you mentioned, or direct me to the thread where it was mentioned?

Check out the Regal Angel Primer thread.

I have an existing yellow watchman gobie paired with a tiger pistol shrimp. I ordered 3 royal grammas from an online vendor. My mistake they send me only 2 royal grammas and a randols gobie. They have refunded my money for the 3rd fish and said to keep the randols gobie. The new fish are all in QT now and doing well.

My question is will it be OK in my 180g DT with the watchman gobie or should I start making other arrangements for him once he comes out of QT?

Thanks for the help.

In the long run, they will not coexist, in the short run, they will be ok.

Thanks for the quick reply. That is what I was afraid of. I will start making arrangements for him to go somewhere else then as I do not want to introduce him in my DT only to have issues down the road.

Quick question (thanks as always in advance).

You have mentioned in the past that neon gobies should be kept singly as to avoid issues (unless a known pair).

Is it possible to keep a neon, a yellowline and a sharknose goby together? Heck, along those lines what about a tiger goby?
Note, I doubt I'd get all of those Gobies, but was just curious as to if they would co-exist (125 gallon tank).

Thanks again!

Not predictable. Similar fish together is always a cautionary situation.

Hi, you have given me advice once before, but I've changed my list someone. Tank has finished cycling, so I'm getting ready to add. Here are my current plans. Please let me know if this combination looks good and if I have too many, what would be the best to exclude. Also, if there is any particular order, (especially, what to add first). Tank is 75 gallon reef with approximately 70 lbs of rock. Octopus reef - protein skimmer.
Carpenter's Flash Wrasse
Purple Firefish
Yellowtail damselflish
Black Axil Chromis
Kauderri Cardinal (3)
Ocellaris Clownfish (2)
Squaretail Bristletooth Tang

Also, will these fish allow me to have shrimp, or should I stick to snails? I know this is a slow process, and will adding at a very slow rate. Perhaps a new fish species every 3-4 weeks.

I'm getting really excited, and have really enjoyed the cycling process and watching the tank come to life. Thanks for all your advice!!

Carpenter's Flash Wrasse
Purple Firefish add first
Yellowtail damselflish pretty but aggressive, I would not add
Black Axil Chromis
Kauderri Cardinal (3) only two will survive (male plus female); tank raised preferred
Ocellaris Clownfish (2)
Squaretail Bristletooth Tang add last

Also, will these fish allow me to have shrimp, or should I stick to snails? I know this is a slow process, and will adding at a very slow rate. Perhaps a new fish species every 3-4 weeks. all are shrimp safe; if you do snails, avoid hermit crabs

60 x 30 x 18

Inhabitants
Moorish idol
Lineatus wrasse
6 leopard wrasses (2 ornate, 1 black leopard, 2 potters, 1 female blue star
4 flames wrasses
Yellow coris wrasse
Filamentous wrasse
Longnose hawkfish.

The most problematic are the flame wrasse females. Aggression during introduction can be obviated using an acclimation box. In this sized tank, you have a lot of copepod eaters so you will need to feed multiple times per day.

Thank you.

I seed pods monthly and luckily the wrasses all eat prepared foods (flakes, pellets, nori) in addition to frozen.

I also have a large acclimation box to utilize.

Ok another question. I'm picking up a supermale lineatus this Tuesday. With the female lineatus in the tank, will I encounter aggression towards the supermale? Is an acclimation box still needed?

For mixing fairy wrasses, always use an acclimation box. I suggest you also use a quarantine protocol, but that is beyond the scope of this thread.
