I plan on having a pair of clowns. Can I get 1 and introduce the other later or do they need to be put in as a pair?
I plan on having a pair of clowns. Can I get 1 and introduce the other later or do they need to be put in as a pair?
My current setup is a 26g bow front FOWLR soon to have a few zoas.
2 - O. Clowns 1 black & 1 orange
2 - Neon blue Gobies
1 - Royal Gramma
1 - cleaner shrimp
Few small hermits and snails.
Got a 75g for Christmas so once that's up and running Id like to add my current stock plus, Mix in some softies/palys/zoas
1 - helfrichi fire
1 - tomini tang
1 - dwarf flame angel
1 - orange stripe goby
Above plan is fine. Introduce the tang last
And if even remotely possible the smallest snowflake eel I can find?
I do not recommend eels and in fact do not analyze aggressive fish community tanks.
Thanks!!
I purchased a 60gal cube. My intentions will be to go reef with fish and will aim towards SPS.
The tank comes with two tomato clowns(which i'm not fond of and will probably get rid of) a sixline wrasse, and chromis. Since I don't want to dig the wrasse out in the future, can he present problems with coral down the road.
No a six line wrasse is totally coral safe; however, it will greatly limit fish selection, especially in your sized tank.
Thank you for the information. I'll google it but do you mind elaborating or pointing me in the right direction on why?
Hey everyone. I set up a 20 gal long saltwater tank back in November, has about 20 pounds of rock both real reef and some Fiji with an aqueon filter. I've had some assorted damsels and crabs and stuff alive since the first week, but haven't had much luck with the few cheap corals I've had due to wrong lighting. Anway I added about 15 assorted corals, mostly soft corals on sunday, along with the real reef rock, and some more crabs and snails. I have a 12"wave point super blue/white light and a hydor 425 gph circulation pump coming in the mail tomorrow. My real concern now is the light, and I'm not sure on where to set up my pump. Hopefully I can get a pic of my tank on my profile later today. Tia everyone
I have a 36 gallon bow front with 2 inches of sand and 35 pounds of LR. Currently running an aquaclear 70 will be installing a 18 gallon sump with refugium in the next week. The tank is 3 months old and has 2 clowns, 1 yellow sleeper head goby, and a cleaner shrimp. Will this tank be able to support a red mandarin and one or two Banghai Cardinal (Pterapogon kauderni). In the next 6 months.
My tank size is 60 gal 48x20x15 its just about done with its cycle and soon looking to add some fish. As of now I have one Clown at 1.25" and looking to add one when the cycle is complete along with two cleaner shrimps. Then a Gobbie, Dottyback, maybe a B/W striped damsel. Then get some Frags that are great for beginners.
Hi Steve,
Just wondering if it was possible to keep more than one possum wrasse in the 40 b if I went with a different species within the genus.
Only fish are a helfrichi firefish, randall goby, barnacle blenny, & a white banded possum wrasse.
If that won't work then I'll stick with my plan of adding a pink streaked wrasse down the road. Thanks![]()
Should be fine.
Ok so I'm gonna' have to ask then if I can still do a pink streaked with the 2 possums.
Pink streaked are very docile so there should be no issue.
If you're bored on Sunday you can come to the airport & watch me break the tank down to move it home, I'm sure it will be good for a few giggles. I always have good beer![]()
