List is still evolving as I research, and also read your advice here, and not just on my posts. For what its worth, what you do here is just above and beyond the call of duty... just felt like it should be said. Thanks. Now... revised stock list, not only due to what I read hear, but also availability of some fish.

As a reminder, tank is a 6 ft. 125 gallon w/ 40 gallon sump/trickle filter system and about 225 lbs. or so of live rock:

Pair of false percula clowns (already have)
1 serpent starfish (already have)
1 pebble butterflyfish
1 clarcki damsel
1 royal gramma
3 cleaner shrimp
6 peppermint shrimp
1 watchmen goby
1 green striped goby
1 pistol shrimp
1 sailfin tang
1 foxface lo
5 redlegged hermit crabs

Decided, due to your comments, I should maybe not do a 6 line wrasse.

Thanks!

Setting up a 215 gallon Fowlr, will have 150 - 200lb of live rock, 30 gal. sump with reef octopus 225 internal protein skimmer, 18W turbo twist UV, mag 18 return pump.

Primary fish I like in order of preference.
Emperor Angel
Yellow Tang
Blue Tang

Secondary
Harlequin Tusk
Powder Blue Tang
Flame Hawk
Humu or clown Trigger

I would like to maximize the number of fish from the primary list that would work together and then go with what would work from the secondary list based on that.

Thanks

Hi, i have a 200 gallons (7 feet) FOWLR, with lots of hiding spaces.
Existing Fish:
- Adult Emperor angel
- Powder Brown tang
- Fox face
- Bi color angel fish
- Ocellaris clown
Which one of the following would be OK to add, if any
- Desjardini sailfin, OR
- Blonde Naso tang, OR
- Regal Tang, OR
- Niger or Clown trigger
and considering size of tank, do u suggest adding more than 1 of the above stated fish. Thanks

Snorvich,

Thank you for the help with my list. Do you have a recommendation for a max number of fish for 65g?

Is there any advantage to snails vs hermits or vice versa?

I cannot really suggest a "number" as it depends on behavioral issues and ecological niches. I prefer snails over hermits as they provide many different functions.

1 serpent starfish (already have)
1 pebble butterflyfish
1 clarcki damsel even one will become very aggressive
1 royal gramma
3 cleaner shrimp two will work
6 peppermint shrimp
1 watchmen goby
1 green striped goby
1 pistol shrimp
1 sailfin tang needs a larger tank
1 foxface lo
5 redlegged hermit crabs

Primary fish I like in order of preference.
Emperor Angel add as a juvenile
Yellow Tang add last since once established it will not like additions
Blue Tang P. hepatus really needs a longer tank long term

Secondary
Harlequin Tusk
Powder Blue Tang
Flame Hawk
Humu or clown Trigger I would avoid either

I would like to maximize the number of fish from the primary list that would work together and then go with what would work from the secondary list based on that.

Thank you. Would a six line wrasse work in this setup as oppsed to the firefish?
Disgregard the six line wrasse, did a little more research and decided against it. One more question though, do you see any problems adding a yellow clown goby to my list?

No problem. Sorry I missed your follow up question on a page change. (but definitely not a six line wrasse)

Is there any thing I could put in a 1 gallon nano other than tiny coral frags?Maybe a small yellow clown gobie.I have seen a clownfish live fine in a 2.5 gallon.

Taking another shot at this
92 gallon corner

Current:
2x ocellaris clown fish
lawnmower blenny
purple firefish
royal gramma

Additions:
1male 2female flasher wrasse
1 yellow wrasse
(this is the big question, will they get a long with flasher wrasse?)
I'm trying to convince the fiance a yellow tang is pushing it in my tank and she is the biggest obstacle I have right now in furthering my involvement in the hobby so i'm trying to offer an alternative "big yellow fish"
Yellow eye kole tang

Ok I have a 40g breeder no sump hob protein skimmer 40 #s each live/rock sand. Canister filter that I clean every two weeks (nitrates have not been a problem)

I've have 2 O clowns in for two months and a starry blenny, thought he was a lawnmower until recently for one month. Everyone is doing great after removing a bully fish. Long story but all good now. Anyways how many more fish can I get. I want extremely peaceful friendly compatible fish.

I was looking at chromis and yellow clown goby. Do these fish work together? Any other options that you'd recommend? I will eventually upgrade to a 5 ft long 150 gallon tank so anything I get now I want to be ok in that tank. I'm not getting anything that can't work in a 40g breeder though. Upgrading will happen, but won't place fish that don't belong in a 3 ft long until the upgrade.

Thanks for the time.
