Emerald crabs may or may not eat bubble algae. In general, other than filter feeding crabs, acropora crabs, or pocillipora crabs, I do not favor crabs of any sort.

Clean up crew help
I need some help. I am preparing a clean up crew line up for a 90 gallon corner reef.
I keep hearing people say hermit crabs will eventually kill off all of my snails, so what's the point in putting in a mix? Wouldn't it be better to just do one or the other. Also I see hermit crabs will eat polyps, are they referring to coral polyps?
Right now I was thinking a mix of about 50 snails w/ maybe just 6 hermit crabs to mix it up a bit

How many Ignitus Anthias females can I put in with the group below?
I read somewhere the tank should be 75g for one Anthias, and if adding more than one the tank should be another 50g =125g.

This thread is about marine fish compatibility so the question is off topic. However, I always suggest snails or hermit crabs for the reason mentioned but not both.

36 gallon bow front. AquaC Remora Skimmer, 40lbs LR, 3" of sand, 3 gallon HOB refugium.
1 percula clown
1 firefish
1 royal gramma
and potentially either 1 six line wrasse, 1 watchman goby+shrimp pair, or a second percula (I've read conflicting views that 2 is better than one and that 2 are more territorial than one and a problem in a tank this size). My feeling is four from that list is probably "comfortable" and 5 might be pushing it.
Other things I'd like to keep eventually: Zoas, Yellow Colony polyps, a brain or donut coral, and/or potentially an RBTA, but I haven't worked out if there will be room for any of that. CUC of Ceriths, Nessarius snails and potentially a blue leg hermit or two (my wife wants some, I prefer the idea of snails only I think). Maybe a skunk cleaner shrimp if I don't get the watchman goby+shrimp pair.
Thoughts and suggestions very much appreciated, I'm new to this and winging it.

Can I ask why people generally go with 2 clowns rather then 1?
Two juvenile clowns will sexually differentiate into a bonded pair of clownfish. Under reasonable circumstances they will breed. Behaviorally people seem intrigued by the situation; some choose to raise the fry. I personally do not keep clownfish but have in the past.

Hi Steve, I have a 95 gallon frag tank, 60" x 30" x 12". I will be setting it up in the next month or so. Would like to center it around a Mandarin that will be added after 9 months. 100 gallon sump shared with a 140 that has a healthy pod collection. Will be adding 100 lbs. of live rock and a shallow sand bed. Idea being limited pod eaters so the Mandarin can feast.
Added in this order:

Tanaka pygmy wrasse - not sure how many pods these guys eat.
Clown Goby
Blue reef Chromis
Percula Clown Pair, one small one large
Mandarin, after 9 months.

Was thinking of getting a small puffer because I have heard they can be playful and interactive. I have a 45g corner tank. Any suggestions?
Absolute minimum would be an 8 foot tank. For the naso tang, ideally a 10 foot tank if combined with the others.
