200g SPS dominant tank 72x30x22

-Flame Angel
-Bellus Angel
-(5) Lyretail Antias... 1 male, rest female
-Gold Assessor Basslet
-(3) Cardinals
-(5) Blue Reef Chromis
-(2) Clowns
-(2) Flame Hawks
-Blue dot jawfish or another type
-Yellow Tang
-Blue hippo tang
-Orange-back fairy wrasse
-Scotts fairy wrasse
-(3) carpenters flasher wrasse

60 gal cube
60 lbs live sand
@ 55 lbs live rock
Sump with skimmer and filter sock
I have 5 hermit crabs 6 turbo snails 1 emerald crab 1 medic shrimp and 1 clown fish

Want to add 3 to 5 blue/green chromis . Would like to start with just 3 to not over load, can I add more down the road?

Unfortunately, the number of chromis you add will almost certainly be reduced to one long term. It is not a bioload issue, it is a behavior issue.

Hi Steve, thanks again for your help!

28 gallon nano cube, 3 inch sandbed with crushed coral mixed in

Fish in this order of introduction to the tank as well:
1 Pearly Jawfish
1 Helfrichi Firefish
2 Black and White Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Cryptic Wrasse

Clean up crew
1 Peppermint or Blood Red Fire Shrimp
3 Trochus or Astrea snails
7-8 Cerith snails
7-8 Nassarius snails

Corals are planned for zoas and softies for now. Maybe some kelp?

Plan is good. Kelp is beyond the scope of this thread so ask that question in your own thread (I have never considered kelp)

-Flame Angel
-Bellus Angel
-(5) Lyretail Antias... 1 male, rest female
-Gold Assessor Basslet
-(3) Cardinals
-(5) Blue Reef Chromis Will almost certainly become one over time
-(2) Clowns
-(2) Flame Hawks not shrimp safe
-Blue dot jawfish or another type Blue dot require peaceful tank mates and cooler temperatures; other jawfish are excellent with proper substrate
-Yellow Tang
-Blue hippo tang needs a larger tank
-Orange-back fairy wrasse
-Scotts fairy wrasse
-(3) carpenters flasher wrasse

The wrasses are prolific jumpers (as are jawfish) so you will need a 1/4 inch mesh top

So they don't get along in numbers? I may change what I get then.
Thanks for the info.

In the long run, almost always the most dominant one knocks off the weakest, then the next weakest, etc. The other issue with chromis is they are highly susceptible to uronema marinum.

125 gallon reef stock list / 6 foot tank

Pair of designer clowns
Flame angel
Spotbreast angel
Mystery wrasse
Royal gramma
Midas blenny
1 black axil chromis

Is this overstocked, compatible or will the wrasse and spotbreast be too aggressive?

The bioload is fine. The wrasse may be aggressive towards the gramma loretto.

What is Loretto and why particularly the gramma? Thanks! :)

Sorry, I tend to use scientific names. Gramma Loretto or G. loretto is the name for Royal Gramma. The reason is the fact that the G. loretto has similar shape and occupies a territory that will intersect with the Mystery Wrasses "territory" (which actually is the entire tank especially the rock work caves)

Oh ok thank you! Just trying to understand how compatibility works!

It is complex. Fish which occupy the same ecological niche tend to have problems with conspecifics in the same niche. However, the larger (especially longer) the tank, the greater the chances that you can make it work. Some fish are a PITA in general. Examples are larger Sohal tangs, clown tangs, or many of the pseudochromis. I tend to be a fish behaviorist which is why I have been doing this thread for about five years. Also, non efficient eaters need to have enough naturally occurring food in the tank to survive so if you put two fish which compete for food in too small a tank, it will not work.

Thanks for your help.

Here is my updated list and order to add them:

Ocellaris Clownfish, Captive-Bred (Amphiprion ocellaris ) x 2
Blue/Green Reef Chromis (Chromis viridis) x 1
Clown Goby, Yellow (Gobiodon okinawae) x 1
Longfin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis) x 1
Orchid Dottyback, Captive-Bred (Pseudochromis fridmani) x 1
Bangaii Kaudern's Cardinalfish, Captive-Bred (Pterapogon kauderni) x 1
Yellowtail Damselfish (Chrysiptera parasema) x 1

You said the yellowtail damsel is aggressive in smallish tanks. You think OK to still add last. If not, any other damsel you would recommend, preferably blue.

125 6 foot long

Pair of designer clowns
Flame angel
Spotbreast angel
Mystery wrasse
Square tail bristle tooth tang
Midas blenny
1 black axil chromis

Is this addition of the tang, and removal of gramma better ?

A bit crowded for my taste with the fish most likely to cause problems being Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis. If you subtract that the remainder should be ok.

Thank you for the help, of course I look from the pictures online, fish may totally look different in person but planning is always a good idea xD

I have a 75 gallon reef tank with 29 gallon sump. It is a brand new tank with nothing except water and rock in it. The cycle is about done and I am working on my stocking plan. I would welcome your thoughts on compatibility and bioload. This will be my first saltwater tank.

Black and White Clownfish
Clownfish
Carpenter’s Flasher Wrasse or Longfin Fairy Wrasse
Yellowtail Damselfish
Orchid Dottyback
Neon Blue Goby
Banded Coral Shrimp

Possibly?
Yellow Tang - Tank too small?
Flame or Potter’s Angelfish - mixed reviews on reef safe?

Thanks,

Black and White Clownfish
Clownfish
Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse or Longfin Fairy Wrasse flasher wrasse is fine, a longfin fairy wrasse is very aggressive
Yellowtail Damselfish aggressive
Orchid Dottyback
Neon Blue Goby remember that life span approximates 1.5 years
Banded Coral Shrimp can take fish

Possibly?
Yellow Tang - Tank too small?
Flame or Potter's Angelfish - mixed reviews on reef safe?

Thanks,
