Thanks Steve, I will only place a couple of clowns then.

I have a 2ndo tank, ( 1 year old) with lps , soft corals and anemones
it is 150 gal DT, 30 gal sump, 120 pounds of live rock with sand
currently I have the following fish:
1 unicorn tang needs a much larger tank
1 yellow tang may make some additions difficult
a pair of clowns
1 melanaurus
2 purple firefish will become one over time
1 fox face
1 dragonet
1 lawn mower blenny
1 fridmany pseudochromis
3 dispar antias
1 orange spot diamond goby, and
1 lubboks wrasse

I was planning on adding the following:
1 Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse
1 Orange-Back Fairy Wrasse
1 Longfin Fairy Wrasse aggressive
1 Leopard Wrasse probably an issue with your mandarin

please tell me what you think

I do not recommend chromis; they are highly susceptible to uronema marinum and multiples will become one over time.

We are currently cycling a 75g tank with a 30 g sump, 110 lbs of live rock, 2 inches of live sand. Here is a "wish list" of fish we are thinking about.

- leopard wrasse
- flasher wrasse
- occ clown
- yellow clown goby
- royal gramma
- flame angel
- coral beauty angel
- yellow or purple tang
- lemonpeel angel
- anthia(s)
- long spine urchin

Any advice is appreciated!

- leopard wrasse tank needs to be about 9 months mature
- flasher wrasse
- occ clown
- yellow clown goby
- royal gramma
- flame angel not coral safe, should add at the same time as the coral beauty
- coral beauty angel not coral safe, should add at the same time as the flame angel
- yellow or purple tang needs larger tank
- lemonpeel angel only two dwarf angels
- anthia(s) one. Species matters
- long spine urchin

Any advice is appreciated!

Ah okay. Thank you very much for pointing that out about the shrimps. No where else I've read has mentioned how the larger shrimps are still seen as snacks to the wrasse and hawkfish.

No shrimps or crustaceans then. Just the pair of ocellaris/perc clowns, long nose hawkfish, and six line wrasse in the 55 gallon.

Thank you again kindly for your feedback (and providing this wonderful service), you have made me happier than a dragonet in a 75 gallon refugium. :)

And that is pretty happy. Coral banded shrimp would work, but they can take fish.

My answer is unchanged from this post.

Sorry I keep changing my mind. I looked up a compatibility chart and got these for a conclusion, but wanted your expertise as a final say before I go with it.

setting up 40 breeder with 40 breeder sump and 20L display fuge.

Can i keep 2 dragonface pipefish and 2 multibanded pipefish in the display fuge. There will be no other competiton for pods in the dt

That should work. There may be issues with the sex of the pipefish.

Hi All,

I am changing my 180 gallon reef tank into a 180 gallon FOWLR tank to help simplify my life a little.

My tank is a 180 gallon, (72x24x24), with a 60 gallon sump running a reef octopus skimmer rated for 400 gallons. In the tank I have close to 175lbs of live rock.

Here is my wish list, planning on starting everything on the small side. Let me know what you think:

1 - Pakistan Butterflyfish (Chaetodon collare)

1 - Blue Spotted Puffer (Canthigaster solandri)
1 - Bicolor Blenny (Ecsenius bicolor)
1 - Emperor Angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator)
1 - Yellow Belly Regal Angelfish (Pygoplites diacanthus)
1 - Coral Beauty Angelfish (Centropyge bispinosa)
1 - Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loricula)
1 - Blue Throat Triggerfish (Xanthichthys auromarginatus)
1 - Powder Blue Tang (Acanthurus leucosternon)
1 - Yellow Tang (Zebrasoma flavescens)
1 - Blue Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus)
1 - Pinkface Wrasse (Thalassoma quinquevittatum)
1 - Diamond Watchman Goby (Valenciennea puellaris)
1 - Yellow Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus)
2 - Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica)
2 - Purple Firefish (Nemateleotris decora)

Thanks!
