Hi just got a 2 g pico tank. Im stoked. How many fish can i put in. I was thinking a clown, goby and an anemone. A two snail, and a crab. Is this ok.

2 gallons is not really enough for a clown or anemone. Maybe a firefish or clown goby would work with some coral.

Hello.. let me start by saying it's awesome that you're providing this resource for us! Thank you!

Here is my tank situation:
-65 g tall (48" wide x 24" high x 13" deep). No sump. About 100 lbs live rock from a long-established aquarium, which made my cycle quick. 80 lbs sand substrate, mostly aragonite but with a small amount of live sand on top.
-Filtration/circulation: just a 1000 gph powerhead. I plan to add an AquaC Remora HOB protein skimmer once I actually add some fish.
-Lighting: Coralife 4 x T5HO lights (10000k and actinic bulbs) plus lunar LEDs

The live rock came with some small shrooms and one very large RBTA. It's pretty beastly... about 7" across. I just ordered a custom CUC from reefcleaners, just snails and hermit crabs to take care of algae bloom.

Here is my anticipated stocking list. Please let me know if you think these would work, whether bioload will be too heavy, or whether I can add even more than this as I really don't know:

First additions after CUC:
-2 pair clownfish: Pair of Clarkii clownfish, and pair of Cinnamon clownfish...Hoping some will host in RBTA. Chose these because they are marked "semi-aggressive" as opposed to "aggressive"...Also choosing larger varieties so that the next additions are less likely to eat them...
Later additions:
-1 Wartskin Angler
-1 Fu Manchu Lionfish

Thoughts? I'm open to other varieties of clown fish too... basically just really want some clowns and that angler.

Pygmy wrasse should be fine but only one.

Neon dottybacks are very aggressive; it would be a problem in your tank.

Sorry, but I do not provide advice on aggressive tanks where one inhabitant will likely eat another. Try the aggressive fish forum for best advice.

I recently setup my 90g tank + 35g sump with 90lbs of live rock, running over 1 month now.

Currently in the tank are 3 red blood shrimps, 10 cerith snails, 5 turbo snails.

I'm planning later on to get some easy corals.

This is my intended list (will purchase in the following order with a 6-week span between each purchase to allow QT process):

2 ocellaris clownfish (in QT currently)
1 Blue/Green Reef Chromis
3 bangaii cardinalfish
2 firefish (M + F) or any from the anthias family that will be compatible with the rest
3 midas blenny
1 flame or coral beauty angelfish
1 yellow tang

Can my tank setup handle the number of fishes that I have listed or is that an overload?

2 firefish (M + F) or any from the anthias family that will be compatible with the rest for multiple anthias you need a larger tank, the firefish should be fine if you get a M+F pair
3 midas blenny blennies don't like each other so more than one is not going to work. Sometimes, a Midas Blenny will vex small planktivores such as the firefish you plan, and has been known to nip at firefish and gobies. Larger tanks are advantageous as many of the Midas Blenny's aggressive behavior traits seem to relate to a confining tank situation. I would look at a different blenny
1 flame or coral beauty angelfish
1 yellow tang

I have a 55 gallon reef with 50 lbs of LR and live sand 10 months old 2 750 hydor flow,phosban reactor,large skimmer with refuge and light by cpr,50g aquaclear for carbon,T5 54w X 4 with moonlights 2 10,000k, 2 pure atnic. I want to know if 2 fire fish 1 engineer goby, 1 yellow coris wrasse,1 purple wrasse which all get along too well lol. They all hang out together. Is that ok or overstocked as i have a few soft and a bunch of LPS corals.
I also dose every 2 days with B-IONIC 2 part calcium buffer

Three angelfish in a new tank will be problematical but not impossible. All three are algae grazers.

In the LONG run, the firefish must be a M+F pair to coexist even if they are now ok. Bioload should be ok.

Bubble Magus Skimmer BM180A
maxi jet 5500 return pump
80 pounds dry rock from BRS
90 pounds dry sand
T5 light (will upgrade when i can afford)

Planning: lots of coral, fishes..

Fish in question - yellow long nosed butterflyfish ( kinda leaning toward tank is too small)

This is a good first butterfly purchase, though not necessarily for a beginning hobbyist. If acclimated properly, Longnose Butterflyfish are a hardy addition to any fish-only system. It does best if kept in a 70 gallon or larger tank with peaceful tankmates. My concern is existing tank mates. I personally like this fish a lot.

Or should I wait till I get my 55g sump/fuge up and running

Patience is always a virtue in this hobby.
