Haha, thanks.Jon felt the need to show that.Me,not so much.

How do you go about fraggin those chalices...?

I cut them with a tile saw using sea water for the coolant

Awesome! Nicest equipment in the world can't make up for end user skill!

true that.I wish I had some skill :)

nice video and oh my that clam is huge :eek1:

That clam may be moving to a large tank that is housed in one of our PA high schools. As you may know our Reef society has a tremendous Tanks in schools program which is fully funded by NCPARS .The clam has overgrown its home here again, and bitter sweet as this may seem.I think its time to go after 16 plus years in my home.Hopefully it will live on for many years in its new home.

WOW!! 16 years?? That has to be some record for a clam to be kept in captivity, especially a hobbyist!

Beautiful corals and great pics and video. I never get tired of seeing your tank!

TY.Its a Nasuta I believe. It was a cultured acro from a place called Reefer Madness that has since went out of biz. They called it Rainbo Nasuta.

Always love seeing your corals. Great job. Could you explain your water change routine (automatic or heavy buckets) And someone posted you that you feed live rotifers. Would like to see pics of your rotifer setup.

Thanks.I do weekly 20 to 25% volume water changes with aged, param matched IO and 0 TDS RODI.This is done with a feed pipe and a drain I installed next to the DT.Water is stored in the basement in 55 gal food grade drums and pumped up to the system via a large mag drive pump. The IO is deficient in MG and Cal for my standards so I tweek the #'s with Randys mg and cal formula to better match my needs. When I am done and this aerates and mixes overnight, the #'s are approx : alk 9DKH,Cal 440,Mg 1350 at 1.026 sg
Then its ready to use and the DT is drained into the floor drain located right next to the tank and it is refilled via the pipe located next to the DT, fed from the drum in basement. It takes about 10 minutes to change out 40 gallons of sea water.

I do not feed live Rotties but I do feed frozen occasionally.

Here are a couple shots of the tangled mess of acroporas I am trying to manage presently
