Royal-Exclusiv / Vertex Cone Coming Soon!!!!

If you added a couple of inches each way then you would be just fine on building your sump Corwin.

We do not have eta, or footprint of the smaller models yet. I would guess it will be a couple of months after the first shipment of the 250's arrive here in just a few weeks.

Thanks,
Jeremy

More eye candy for all of you!!! :D

The ALPHA 250 in all it's glory, with a "big honkin volute" on that pump!!!

Office footprint is 16.5" x 12". However, that 16.5" is with a little extra hose coupling from the pump to the skimmer inlet. If you look in the picture, you will notice that you could trim about an inch off that to set the pump closer to the inlet of the skimmer itself, for those of you who have a really tight space. The 12" has about 3/8" extra figured in as well.

Hey Jeremy,
Any idea on the tank rating and price on the large cones?
Thanks,
Sean
i dont think anybody has a rating or price for the larg cone yet, at least i didnt see any post anywhere about it, not on the US or german forums

as it looks like, REs focus right now is on the mediums to get em done

A few more photos of why Royal-Exclusiv quality and construction is tops!

Rubber coned feet on both skimmer and pump to completely deaden any vibration noise that could appear. This is one of the main reasons the RE skimmers run dead silent!

Skimmer cup drain fitting. Fit and finish is awesome!

High grade titanium screws which do not rust!

Hey Sean... Nothing yet on the large cones. The 250 is rated up to 400gal, so I'm not sure if it would fit into what you are looking for or not?

Everyone, just one more quick update on this skimmer and I'll quit yapping this morning (too much coffee, sorry!).....

The actual inside of the skimmer cone from the bottom, up to the top measures 260mm tapered to 160mm. This is equates 10.24" to 6.29".

Just wanted to update everyone on this as I know there were some different sizes floating around out there on actual neck dimensions.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

That seems a little strange. I don't see how the inside of the cone can be 10.25 inches and the total footprint less than 12". Are you sure the dimensions below are not for the next size up?

Thanks, Kevin

Sorry, I had base plate dimensions, however the neck is at the 6" size still. The footprint dimensions are accurate. The neck is not 5" as had been mentioned in other threads.

Thanks Jeremy, please keep me/us posted.

I am in the market for a new skimmer before Summer.

I thought I had narrowed it down between the ATB Large 13 External Cone and the BK Deluxe 300 External.

If/when the BK Larger sized cones come out I think they will be in the mix as well.

Thanks,
Sean

good thing I just built a new sump to fit this beast in.Skimmer section 17x14.... Looks very nice Jeremy. Thanks for sharing the photos. Look forward to writing a review and taking some pics and videos of this monster.

Thanks for the pictures, do you have pictures of it running on the 100 gallon tank yet. Thanks in advance.

I will try and get some from Kalus, although you may have to settle on some pics of it running on my 100gal sps system here in a couple weeks.
