I got this guy for about 1 month ago, never defalted, but the mouth is still a little large. A dime would fit right into his mouth. Seem healthier and is eating well at this time. Here he is, sorry for the poor phone picture.

Where did you get them? individual or dealer? is it difficult to find healthy specimens of these to purchase? i have really been wanting one but am a little nervous spending that kind of money on something so fragile

I got it from Aquarium Aster here in Corpus Christi. Erik, the owner there, often get good anemones in. I got both of my H. magnifica and two S. gigantea from there over the last 1.5 years. The other S. gigantea did not make it.

here is a picture I took just now. I got it from Aquarium Masters (not Aster)

I don't know why but it reminds me of one of those big rubber chew toys, love the color, my wife likes the green but i really like the blues and purples

A few more pictures. It is greenish blue in the center and purplish blue peripherally

Wow, gorgeous anemone!!! How big is it? Best wishes on a long and healthy new addition.

Dave,
It is about 14 inches. I have had this anemone for 1 month at this time and it is eating every day about 1.5 cc shrimp. It is growing some since I got it, and is doing great. I think after another week or so, I will cut feeding down to maybe twice a week.

Very sexy. Nice grab Minh. You deserve that anemone after that unfortunate incident that happened several years back. Does this motivate you to possibly start a huge tank again?
