Seans 75 gallon Moneypit!

Wow buddy, as I said on FB, the coral colours look great. Did the colours really improve noticeably since switching to a calcium reactor? How long did it take? Which brand of two part or you using previously?

Thanks Sahin. I really do think the colors improved. It could be the added trace, or just rock solid alk as there's no interruption between doses of that makes sense. Although, I was using literneters which dose 150x a day...

2 part was just bulk from BRS

Time wise I'd say within a month or 2 is when I really started to notice a difference

So my fellow club member and pro photographs stopped by last night

Here's a BOP birdsnest

Took him about 5 minutes lol

Wow, those are awesome macros. Please ask him what camera and lens he is shooting with thanks! :)

I can't wait to see your friends new pictures when he comes back, nice macros.

I would love for him to do a recent FTS if you can persuade him to bring an extra lens. :D

Here you go Sahin.

Canon 5D Mark III with Canon 100mm f2.8 lens along with two Canon EF 25 II extension tubes.

Two extension tubes and still that crisp!
That's about the best equipment there is..
Wow. Interesting... I may be investing in an extension tube.. Or two. :)

That is quite the equipment. Can you ask your buddy if that 100mm f2.8 is an L series lens? Thanks. Please also let him know that we really like the photos. :)

Agree very nice photos.

There is both a Canon 100 2.8 and 100 2.8 L (with IS). Not much difference other than the IS (and the red L ring) for about double the price :)

He's a member here. Steve Ruddy is his name. Check the wine country reefers forum on here and look for my thread. He has posted on it a few times. You can PM him there.

Lol, well he is using extension tubes - why not the MP-E 65 or 180 f3.5 macro?

:)
Well, I'll tell you why..
The very cool mp-e doesn't have the dof capabilities shown in those awesome shots and I'm not sure it takes extension tubes..
Maybe the 180mm but then I don't think he'd need 2 Ext. Tubes..

Actually, I've never heard of the mp-e but it sounds like a wicked cool lens..

Great tank yeah the 6 bulb fixture will do great i have the d120 leds now and sps grow not fast though and polyp extension sucks but at least they are surviving as soon as i possibly can i will get the ati though!
