I have had 2 cleaner wrasses and i noticed they hid in the rocks for 2 days and then i go in the next morning and they are dead on the sand :(

:( Sorry to hear that kar93. They are hard to keep from what I have heard. I am not sure if I will try another one, but they are kind of a cool fish.

Yeah i think they do fine in large tanks but in smaller tanks they just dont have big enough fish to clean. I had mine for 2 months but my friend who has a 40gal has had his for nearly 2 years! I guess hes just lucky.

I purchased a Scopas tang last weekend....
It was so timid the first two days but now it is...

So happy and has been eating nori like it will never eat again...

My wife and I were visiting her daughter (3 hour drive).
They dropped me off at a Petco and went shopping, I went in
and there scopas was. He was in a small tank but looked
healthy and alert. The price was $24.99 and I had a 25% off
any 1 marine fish coupon...So we went back the next day
and bought him.

The checkout girl said "I was wondering how long it was
going to take for someone to buy him", I was a little
perplexed but glad I was the one who got him.

u up gradding muelpaul? if so that would be sweet! :)

Hey CustomColor, Yes....sort of...My wife and I have come up with a 5 year (now 4 years and 9 1/2months) plan for a new house with a fish room to support a big tank and all it takes to support it.

Hopefully if everything goes well we can make this a reality :)

you got a long wait:( but atleast you can slowly buy things on the way. i bet you will drill the big one this time! thats one heck if a buy on that tang too :) i hope you are having better luck with fish than what i had latly. lost 2 in 6 hours :(

Thanks CustomColor, It really hurts to loose any of these fish, sorry about your losses.... I will do my best to keep Scopas and CBB happy and healthy.

I have been checking out A.G.E. thread builds and I am thinking of having a linear overflow in the back glass with either a closed loop or wave making devises.

With 4+ years to think about it, I will probably change my mind over and over.

some more tank shots...

My clown fish got busy a couple of weeks ago...

but the eggs only lasted one night....

Wow the tank is looking great! =) I love the CBB! It's really starting to look like a reef in there now!

Hey paul nice looking progress. Also I know how it feels to lose a fish I just lost my blue angel the other weekend. Was a juvenile and for some reason it went up by my powerhead which is a maxi jet 1200 with the sure flow mod and it was stuck to the housing. Not sure if it died and ended up there or got to close and got stuck to it. And since my tank is in the basment while I finish my living room I didn't catch it in time. Talk at you tomorrow!

Eric

PS I have a frag tank of zoas and candy canes :D Not to mention some frogspawn and some leathers :D

I have been pretty lazy lately but felt it was time to update this thread, not with pictures yet but with what I am soon to do.

I have decided to replace my current sump with a return pump, skimmer pump and chiller pump with a dual (2 sump/refuge tanks) in-feed to a single 3600gph dolphin pump to supply the return, skimmer, chiller, calcium reactor, and 2 media reactors.

Also on my to do list; put an exhaust fan in the tank room to help with heat and humidity issues.

My tank is doing quite well, (es)scopas and CBB are doing well as are all the other fish and inverts.

There was however a new coral loss:( A beautiful red and blue lobo that no matter what I did to trie and save it ( other than give it to my friend to try) it just kept loosing it's flesh.

I will take some pictures of before, during and after of all progress with the new upgrades as well as some tank shots soon.

The rest of this thread will be dedicated to NG :sad2: You may be gone...but you will not be forgotten!!!
