Silent and Failsafe Overflow System

wondering will glass be to heavy. does anyone have a c2c that is 95 inches or even closer please post picture if possible. Thanks in advance.

Not sure I understand you then; a C2C is the overflow box. You can use the material of your choice, just make sure it is thick enough to support the weight, especially across an 8' span. Also, 8' sections of acrylic are not cheap. Keep in mind glass will bond better with silicone than acrylic. I do wish my overflow was not see-through, but as the same time, the waterfall effect is pretty cool.

1/4" glass @ 72" here. It is heavy, but strong enough. I used RTV silicone.

Maybe one day I'll go rimless. I'm perfectly happy with this though; the trim matches my stand and equipment.

Per the OC, are you referring to the John Guest fitting?

LOL. Yeah. Easy fix should I want to do it at some point; it was definitely the least of my concerns setting this up though. I also seemed to have a learning curve when figuring out the difference between a 3/8 and 3/8 NPT tap, but I know now!

Not hooked up yet. Gotta figure out how I'm going to secure the end of it. Since it's only the 2nd fail-safe and there is nothing alive in the tank, I am not overly concerned with needing it yet.

Run it to a JG fitting, in a threaded chunk of acrylic--similar to how you would mount a float switch...follow the thought from there....

Never mounted a float switch, yet. But I did buy extra JG fittings, I could figure something out. Thanks for the idear.

LOL, nice. I have some acrylic and a heat gun, I could bend something and tap it for a nylon bolt so I could clamp it similar to how HOB overflow boxes have that leveling knob.
