Hi friends,

Just started my sps jpourney and in a short time, have got attached to the old world classic acros even though i thought - NO ACROS !!!! There's something of a beauty about the classics ...
Planning to slowly stock my tank only on classic old acros.

So list down your favorite classics and generally how fast have you observed them to go .

My dream list is very simple :- Purple Monster (If I ever find one ), Red Dragon, Oregon Tort , Strawberry Shortcake and Sapphire Milleapora (If I ever find one)..

Whats your old favorite classics ?

Regards,
Abhishek

Chips acro has always been a favorite, great PE. Cali tort is also one of my favorites, would say Oregon, but I like the faster growth. Even though it's extremely common, I too like the green slimmer. I think it looks good in the back towering above everything else. Never had one, but I've always wanted a palmers blue millepora.

I like your list but don't think I see much of chips acro anywhere ..

I have everything listed here so far except I have never heard of the Saphire milli. I will be looking that up.

My favorite old school coral of all time is the baby blue abrolhosensis. It was very common in the Tampa area 15 years ago. Now its gone.
Pearlberry is fairly old school and I have that too. :)

I looked up that milli and there seems to be thought that ora blue milli may be the same coral or close enough to not matter. I do have a nicely colored blue milli. :)

My pm is not ready for fragging. I've been looking for 1 for about a year and finally scored a frag earlier last year. Also just picked up an SI PM last week.

Purple Bonsai..

i have kept this one for such a long time around 14 years.~

i had it big colony once but it just survived over that long years in small mini-colony.

Hahaha, I must be really old school. Nevermind, I know I am. I have almost everything listed here so far.
My Purple Monster isn't even a full size frag yet so no I can't frag it. The person I got it from was losing a lot of it so I have a tiny nub to try to keep it alive. 4 or 5 months but no new growth that I can see.
