Through the Looking Glass

No way is top down shots cheating (IMO). :) Yes the corals are more colourful, but this is expected because most of the light is falling on upper surface of the corals. With sunlight due to the arc movement of the light, all of the coral gets to colour up etc.

So keep on posting the top downs.

The Pinky the Bear looks sweet:

Also love the purple dragon eyes and that lepto.. So cool with the yellow centres.
You have a very nice collection.

Mark, the tank looks amazing as always. I've been battling issues for sometime as well and seem to have it Back under control. I love the pink Floyd acro and really need to find that one.

Thank you everyone for the encouragement
A friend shared a beautiful frag with me from his colony. My t5's were on without halides so I could not quite capture the correct color, it has much more yellow in it. It is a pretty frag though.

Supposed to be Mr Pacman but the body color is not that plum color, so not sure if it is gonna take some time to get better color or if I have something else

As most have stated, you have an amazing collection of corals. What is the current color of your Mr Pacman?

Thank you. That means quite a bit coming from you. You have an extraordinary tank, and quite candidly, it is leaps and bounds above mine.

My Mr. Pacman is kind of puke green/brown. I got it early, just when it hit the air waves so to speak. I think I paid $85 and it was a 1/4" frag, I kid you not. Came from an extremely reliable source. So I either am giving it way too much light or I have an impostor. It would not be the first impostor that I have purchased unfortunately. I am planning on fragging a piece and placing it way down low in the tank and see if it colors up (sounds like the opposite of what i normally due). Even with its goofy colors, the growth, shape and unusualness
of its thin structure is still cool Although I am intrigued by unusual growth patterns and morphology, I am bedazzled by color. So i really would like this to color up correctly.

Our lighting is the same except the MH brand and wattage. Coloration wise it looks the same, but the growth is different. I believe difference in growth is a result of flow. If you revisit my thread, there is a pic of the frag under all T5's. I think that's how this SPS is supposed to look. Much like yourself, I need to move it to a lesser light area. Have a great weekend!

Just sharing a picture of one of my wrasses. The halides were off, and under t5s only, the blue tint turned the yellow/gold into a green/yellow. Sorry I could not capture the colors correctly but it is a pretty fish nonetheless

Nice wrasse.. How long have you had it? I was under the assumption that they don't do well in captivity... I'd love to try one..
What's the scientific name?

I have had it for some months now. I got it from a fellow reefer who I believe had it for a couple of years prior. Gets along with everyone. Does not like flake food but loves nutra life spectrum pellets. Plus actively hunts throughout the tank. Anampses Femininus
