Thumbs up for Ozone!

vmichael: Are you using something like this on the Enaly? The 300U that I recieved has no apparent air intake, just an outlet. It must suck air in from around the edges of where it snaps together.

I guess if you have the model with the built in pump you could place it into the bottom of a bucket that was filled with desicant;
or place it in a box filled with desicant; the box would need an air intake hole as well as a hole for the 1/4" tubing going out into the venturi.

Well I guess waiting on my ORP controller got the best of me. I sat down and took the enaly apart only a couple of pics turned out but basically if a person wanted to run an airdryer on it you could drill a hole in the side. A normal run of the mill airline would work.

The little white "plug" is the cotton filter that was crammed into the airintak. Note: you are not able to see the intake with cover on.

Hello,
Is the Silica/desicant inside the dryer is same with the silica that we usually found if we bought a new electronic hardware?
Because i have a problem to find the media in Indonesia.
Thanks

Yes it is,it just dosen't change color when it's filled with moisture.

Well .. Just got my ozone unit and controler setup tonight. I'm running a redsea 50mg hr unit. I have a couple of questions...

I'm wondering how you guys run yours ... ozone at 100% and let the controller take care of turning the unit off ... or try to balance it out and just use the controller as a safety measure?

My tank started at about 140mV what initally is a good cutoff?

I'm running .18mg/hr. Mine runs 24/7. I use a controller but the ORP never rises to dangerous levels with such low doses anyways. I do still like to see my ORP readings because it tells me a lot about the conditions in my tank.

Mine runs at around 330. When I feed the tank it will drop down to around 300 for several hours. I used to push my 03 harder and run it at 100% (200mg/hr unit) and use my controller to keep ORP around 375-400. I feel my tank is a lot healthier running a much lower dose. It also makes me less paranoid.

Thanks Travis .. I'll prob bring mine up slowly over the next couple of weeks and wait a month or so for that new bulb. Dont want to stress the corals out to much. :)

I run a Sander 50mg unit on a 240g system and it only comes on after I feed, and usually for less than 3 hours. The water is crystal clear.

it is around 390, then when I feed then it drops to about 365. The ozone stops once orp rises above 385 and it turns on if it falls below 375. For my tank (and I have 9 fish as well as corals, snails, etc) 50mg is more than enough.
