Touchy?...........no, not at all. I posted a few links with good factual info from a chemist with 30 years of ozone experience...... with the thought of helping a poster asking questions.

You decided to pick out my blurb about the Theil reference & comparing his works to the bible. This did nothing to further the thread, have any redeeming value, nor have anything to do with Red Sea units. I find that laughable, useless board clutter.

I'll leave it at that so I don't add more to the clutter.

Whatever dude! Next time read the entire thread before asking redundant questions ..talk about clutter! Don't bother answering cause I've placed you on my igore(ant) list.

did you find any O3 proof fittings?

My JG and barb fittings from HD last about 1-3 months. Then they crumble.
I'm probably going to go with some PVDF fittings from McMaster. I couldn't find any fittings through AquaticEco that were ozone safe.

While I could continue to replace the Tee fitting every month, I believe the crumbling fitting can be harmfull to the pump over time. My new Sedra pump that I just added to my skimmer was making noise and having trouble restarting. I pulled the impeller assembly and found some of the crumbled debris inside.

I set up an Ikea timer with permanent 15-minute pegs (it's similar to the Grasslin T35 timer)to initiate a 15-minute burst of ozone every two hours for my 150-gallon tank with a 30-gallon sump and 50-gallon refugium. This will give a total of three hours of ozone delivery over a 24 hour period. I set up the Enaly ozone generator this way, because there's no way to regulate the level of ozone with the Enaly so that I can provide a continuous low level dose, but with the timer, I can spread the ozone delivery over the day. This will also help prevent the buildup of any excess ozone in the sump area or the aquarium room. When I had the the Enaly set for a continuous 2 hour dose, I could still smell ozone in the room even with a big bag of carbon over the skimmer cup. I noticed that the Grasslin T35 is sold on a lot of hydroponic sites for light, pump, CO2 or ozone delivery control.

If nothing else, I'm very impressed by how ozone use has clarified the water for better light penetration. My montipora danae had polyps that weren't fully opened for a few days in order to adjust to the increased light intensity.

I too have the Enaly ozone generator but run it using a Milwaukee Orp controller. This way I never have to worry about overdosing. The controller uses a relay that plugs into your power outlet, and then the Enaly plugs into the relay. I've thought of placing a timer before the relay switch to act as a saftey in case the controller ever goes crazy. The only down side I've found is the Orp probe needs a quick cleaning every week (5 min. dip in vinegar) as the reading creeps upward. Good thing is that if you forget to clean the probe, worse case scenario is the controller senses a higher reading and ozone is underdosed.

My only fear of using a timer alone is I've had numerous timers stick or fail, and always in the ON position. Since my ozone injection/skimmer is in my living room this is a concern.

Enaly

Enaly

I just bought an enaly 200mg unit on the enaly ebay store. Has anyone else bought one there? If so, was there any problem with shiopping (long delays, no-shows, damage, etc.)?

I got my enaly from ebay but from minimicorreef instead as he was selling them from inside the US, and I won the auction for 33$.

I too received mine direct from China in only a week. They also have very good customer service based in Canada. I had another unit breakdown after 10 months of use and they gladly exchanged it for me free of charge. I only had to ship the dead unit back to Canada and they had a new unit sent from china the next week. I can honestly say I've received better service from Enaly than most US companies I've dealt with.

Has any one had to clean the inside of their ENALY unit?

is it possible/recommended?

Somewhere early in this very thread I recall someone took apart an Enaly and took pictures of it. They even had instruction on putting it back together. Looked pretty simple. Something to do with the internal pump of the Enaly and how to bypass it.

Ben, Reefkeeper1, Kenfuzed,

Thanks for your replies to my post.
I can't wait to see how much improvement I get in my water quality and clarity.

Thanks again,
Chuck Spyropulos

A friend who had a reef tank 6-7 years ago gave me this unit. Is this still an acceptable unit or has the technoligy changed?I have never used ozone and wonder if it will be ok to hook this into my Remora skimmer that dumps directly into my fuge and onto my cheato?

ozne is ozone and you generate it by air passing thru an electrical field or air passing thru UV lights.

Right here on this thread somewhere is a whole section on what Ozone is and how its created. Good reading too!
Enjoy!

I haven't checked this thread in a long time but did happen to see your question. There isn't much to them inside although I did manage to kill my unit after enough tinkering. I have 3 or 4 post on page 9 that you may want to look at. Other than the small cotton filter I don't remember anything to clean.

I run the same exact one on my 120 . Every month I take it apart and clean the plastic endcaps on the tube inside . The holes get plugged reducing its output.

anyone still having issues iwth the ACII and X10 with the Enaly? After reading most of this thread, I only saw 1 person who had issue (liquidfunk), and sound like two were curious about the issue.
