What's Your Dream Showpiece Fish?

All your fish that you select for your tank must be show pices !
The sea is to big and our tanks are to small ... So only get show pice fish

Paulb...are you the one who collected all those tiny blue angels a few years back on long island?
I did collect some tiny blue angels but I am not sure if you are referring to someone else.

Remember that directv commercial where the russian billionaire had the tiny giraffe? I want a tiny orca. We are still talking DREAM inhabitant, even though it's not a fish!

A school of lookdowns would be cool if you have a tall tank. If you have a wide/long shallow tank, then i'd go for a blue spot ray. So cool.

But as someone else said, there are a ton of cool fish out there. Big problem is deciding which one you want that will work in YOUR tank. For me, I've got a few show fish. ;)

Have always been a big fan of heniochus acuminatus. But went to Maui last novermber and it has become a full blown obsession. If I ever had the means to acquire an obnoxiously large tank I would have a school of at least 5. Until then I will just have to admire them from a far.

Blue Faced Angel....alas I will never have a tank that big, or without corals...soooo I enjoy pictures!

Manta ray

Hahah Paul B - you could ride around on it while you're in the tank doing your cleaning :)

I was snorkeling off the coast of the Florida Keys and a very large Eagle Ray coasted by...I would guess it had to be at least 6ft across, but maybe I imagined it was bigger because it made me feel very small. They are beautiful and incredibly graceful swimmers, I can only imagine what it must be like to see a big manta ray.

My dream fish would definitely be an Achilles Tang. I've put a deposit down on an amazing Achilles, but unfortunately he was scared and jumped out of the stores display tank. After that happened, I decided to have them bring in another but unfortunately the one they brought me in, was extremely malnourished, refused to eat any form of food and wasted away within 2 weeks of being brought home.

I'll definitely some day try one again when i have the money to throw down on one again, but until then, I will simply observe their beauty in someone else's tank.

I love the all of the types mandarin dragnets, they are my number one of all time.

My dream fish that I have been trying to track down is the White tail Bristle tooth tang however I'm not having much luck.
