When an anemone splits when it's happy? My mag which is be rehabilitated from very bad shape seems to be splitting. It eats everyotherday day and coloring back up well. Today I changed some rocks around and changed 30 gals of water. All threads I've read about an anemone splitting is follwed with a congratz repley so I'm a little confused because it went through some stress today. No pics available, and no params cuz the water hasn't mixed yet I'm sure. I'll update wen I get home tonight. Thanks in advanced.

They can split when stressed in a effort to try and survive also...Keep a eye on it for awhile

Agree, most of the time they split out of distress, and divide in an effort to find more suitable living conditions in order to survive.
Many things can stress them, relocation, and even over feeding can stress and induce splitting, so don't feed too heavy.
Light is their main source of energy, and really you could never spot feed and they would be fine, in fact some exp reefers do not spot feed to keep them from growing too fast.

Anemones splitting because of stress is half-a-myth. By that I mean every animal in existence has a few embedded instincts. One of them is to procreate and multiply. Whether happy, sad, stressed or other, animals can not fight the urge to do certain things like survive, fight/flight, eat, procreate, etc...
I'm not saying that anemones don't split when stressed, I'm saying that there are other reasons for it. Myself, I found that the only time my anemones split was on or very near a full moon.

From that one picture I saw of yours, if it is actually splitting I would say it is a last ditch effort to save part of itself.
