Just thought I would ask if you have seen any bleaching events while in the marshall islands or noticed any sort of tissue recession damage on acro colonies while diving. I know it would be difficult to spot amongst the vast amounts of acro's but thought it can't hurt to ask.
bags packed, off for a quick vacation tomorrow in the morning.
Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bali (2 weeks), Singapore. plan on doing some diving in Bali, brought my camera gear along.....pics to come in a few weeks, as well a more elaborate update.
Been back on "œThe Rock" for some time, been too lazy to go thru the 3600 pics taken on this vacation. It was a whirlwind of a trip, tons of sightseeing planes, trains, bus, boat, foot, donkey.....we did it all.
I've also had a ton of work to do at the J-O-B as well. a lot of boots on the ground projects that need my support.
Here's some reef related pics from the trip
Cool outdoor aquarium in Tokyo out in the open, Sony.
Not too much reef geeking going on here. The highlight of the trip was taking a photo with my son at the exact same spot me and my father took a picture 30 some years ago at the"Great Bhudda" in Kamakura.
Hot Chick and Cool car intermission
Giant Tuna head near the fish markey in Tokyo
$3,750 USD for this cat at the pet store. im in the wrong business!!
Really a lot of fun to walk the streets and finding store after store carrying all kinds of reefing goods. The prices were phenomenal, too bad everything was the wrong voltage.
I managed to buy an all in one nano for my aquarium that I lugged thru several airports getting it home, only to drop it and crack the back glass. Luckily it was the back pane, and managed to fix it myself on the cheap.
Next update, ill include some Bali Diving photo's, a tour of Bali Aquarich, aquaculture facility and a trip to Singapore Sentosa S.E.A. Aquarium.
