225g BB Reef Project!!!

You have a mpt 3/4" penductor. I actually have female threaded penductors.

You are going to need to purchase a small 3/4" thread union, 3/4" locline union to connect 2x 3/4" male threaded locline adaptors.

Good luck..

Typhon,
How did you connect the penductors with the return line? I'm having trouble connecting my 3/4" mpt penductors to the loc-line.

Thanks,
Chris

In the pic.. they are male threaded penductors. I replaced them with female threaded ones so I wouldn't have to use the sightly white unions..

Mark.. Thanks.

Slowly making progress. Setting up a large Reef can be a PITA, but well worth it.

Here is a pic of the external Panworld 200PS that drives the 2 x penductors and feeds the skimmer. I placed the pump in the garage that is adjacent to my tank.

I left an extra outlet for water changes.

Things are looking great.

Well I wouldn't say its quiet. The one I am running is PW 200PS comparable to the Iwaki RLT 70. It is quieter than the Iwaki RLT 70. I really don't hear the pump, just the fan (fans alittle loud).

I wouldn't recommend it for the living room, but the lower models are much quieter. My friend has 2x PW 100x and it's whisper quiet.

What size tank do you have?? How much GPH do you need??

how loud is the panword? is the fan on it loud? would you run it in a living-room tank?

Here is closer look of the canopy.. I am currently using 3x 250w PFO Mini. They are actually sitting on AL framing.

Here is a pic of the tank skirt. I use magnets to hold them onto the steel framed stand..

just gathering some info for my next project. i need about 800 gph after head losses. i had a iwaki 40rlt and the fan on it was ridiculous... like standing next to a plane. do your friends pw 100x's have fans in them?

oh and were your friend's pumps the pressure rated (100px) or flow model (100px-x)

flow model (100px-x) and yes it does have fan, but you can hardly hear it. Great pumps in my opinion..

tank look great but need more pics :D hole drilled through the wall for plumbing on the left? nice stand covers who did them??

i have a brand new 100pxx that i ran for like 2 min and decided to use an iwaki 50rlt....only for the fact that i would get more flow w/ the presure rated iwaki as compared to the flow model of the panworld...now it just sits around....guess i should do something w/ it :D
