As far as equipment, love the steel stand with panels held on by magnets. Great way to maximize available area under the stand and get good access. I haven't seen it done that way before. Execution on everything else seems well thought out, too, real simple without a lot of complicated plumbing.

Just curious why you didn't position the crates so that the CL returns blow out into them to flush out that space and then flow out threw the rock over them? Or is something like that done and I'm missing it? Also, just for my own reference, how much would a person pay for a powder-coated steel stand that size, if you don't mind sharing? TIA.

Well alot has happened in the past 5 months..

One thing I have added is a glass view door to the aquarium room.

Here is a pic of the frag tank I plumbed into my main system. Water is pumped with an Iwaki 30 RXLT into my chiller then to my frag tank.

Here is a pic of my 30g frag tank with a 250w Nova II pendant.

Here is a pic of my chiller siting under the frag tank. You can also see how I am venting the hot air from the chiller to the outside.

Here is a pic of my new Ca Reactor. H&S 200CR that I purchased from Finsreef.com (Great guys to deal with). It is rated for a 500g tank and uses Schraun media. Thing weights 38 lbs with media (takes 22 lbs of media to fill it)..:eek2:

Here it is sitting beside a 2 liter bottle to give you an idea of it's size. It is about 26" tall and 8" in diameter.

Well since Finsreef is in NC I was able to see the reactor in person and I was impressed. Well built, use a aquabee pump, easy access to the media, reverse flow, input for pH probe, efficent CO2 usage, design to run schraun media and since H&S makes such a great skimmer, their reactors can't be that bad.

It has been up and running for 4 months now. Lets just say i haven't had any issue with my Ca levels.

My Kalk reactor and fuildized media reactor is made by Reefmania (Greg and Bob both great to work with).
