A Smart? Aquarium in Taiwan...

Tank has been set up over 3 months but till now I have my dosing system ready. I was struggle where to put these bottles close enough to my GHL but not occupy rest of space in working area. So, there you go, I can put them on side door ;-)

Left: KZ Start3(25%), BWA Ferrion(100%), KZ Xtra(100%), KZ AA (5%)

Shih, seeing that you have a dedicated container for Fe (iron), can you explain your dosing regimen and what supplement you are using? What testing kit do you use for Fe? Also, what positive effects have you witnessed from regularly dosing Fe?

How does the Iron affect your SPS colours? Which test kit are you using to determine levels? Thanks.

Due to KZ Iron concentrator is hard to well mixed with distilled water (other KZ solution are fine to dilute), so I choose BWA Ferrion which dosing volume unit is ml, not drops;-)

I use RedSea Fe test kit, but it is just a reference. I rather watch my algae grow and green color on my strawberry cake to decide if I should increase or lower my dosing volume. Throw me your suggestion if any, please.

Below is definitely NOT the strawberry cake color I would expect....I will post again once it turn to true bright green and red color.

That strawberry is one of my favorite acro's and i was reading a thread on them that in high light they will lose the green color and lighten up, and get the deeper colors when they are in a less lit area. I personally can not test that or have no firsthand knowledge with that, as i don't have one right now, but maybe something to look into?

I may give it a try, thanks.

Hello buddy. Personall, I wouldnt have risked my tank with those corals. Did you QT them for a couple of weeks? There is possibility the small/tiny AEFW's bury themself within the tissue. Dont mean to scare you, but to increase safety, I would take them out after 2 days and dip and baste them. Let them recover and repeat.

Hope all goes well. I hate AEFW so much. :headwallblue:

Thanks. I do enjoy this phase of buying and adding new corals

Hmmm now you scare me, especial after your AEFW study early this year. Maybe I should take it out and dump it ... I don't have a QT tank as for now....:sad2:

Can I ask you do the same thing on my tank?

You can have the PAR reader, but I can't give you a hand since I will always busy on playing video game with your son when visit...:p

wow nice readings. your colonies are growing well from just those two pics.

Staghorn and just a few did grow well, but most ... still waiting for them awake and grow...

In fact, I am not sure I have mentioned this before. My old Redsea KH test kit are expired long time ago, so my KH were actually 11.0 dKh :mad2:
I start lowering my KH since two weeks ago, now I gradually lower it to 9.6, still a long way to drop to 7.5 dHK, my desired KH value.:facepalm::facepalm:
