A Smart? Aquarium in Taiwan...

Great pics shih and that SSC is aweeeesome!
Tank looks really good:beer:

I forget that I got one more SSC from Elton. Let me show its picture in later post.

Goooooooood pics.
It seems I also need to buy the TG4.............

You should. The new RAW data feature is why I wait from TG2 and TG3....
Those frags you gave me two weeks back often were knocked off by big snail I have, and it is too tiny so I can't even aware they are on sand bed till a coupe days later.

I think you should give me bigger frags next time... Hahaha...

Note: Elton is a crazy rare SPS collector in Taiwan. Lucky me, he collect from the world, and I only need to collect from him. Thanks Elton.

Very nice!

Thanks. You know, we are all still waiting for your computer fixed and more pictures for your tank ;-) Could you please tell your brother move fast... Give him a deadline. Hahaha

Wow shih, your colonies have grown so much and they are all looking so good.
Very nice!!

That have to correct a bit. I do have nice grow, but not as fast as my last tank with MH light.
As you can see, the two big colonies (wild caught, bigger than my fist, in red circle), were bought from LFS just about three weeks back only. Their color went downside and LFS discount sale two for US$40, so I couldn't resist and brought them home.

Oh my god. That is amazing.
I would be camped outside that store waiting for a shipment like that.
That practically never happens anymore in Montreal.

candy store!!!!

You aren't kidding mate, hot damn that's not a bad place to shop

Love those last frag shots, colors are looking great and the acros are looking healthy and saturated with pigments :)

Easy source of new coral....Good and bad.... Maybe that is the reason most reefers in Taiwan not taking SPS survival rate as serious as color performance. Only a few provide FTS monthly, others, most macro shot of their tiny, little frags, and after 12 months, I still see tiny, little frags, but newer frags ....

These looks a lot like rr wolverine.

Yes! Looks very much like a wolverine.
I hear RR sends a lot of coral to Asia.. That's the common belief, anyways..

I find it very difficult to place small frags with the long term plan for growth but ultimately that's what makes a stunning looking reef- the large colonies. Sure color is what we all want to see in the macro shots but large colonies is what makes the fts.

It is. Last photo also show Oregon Tortuosa 1st generation and 3rd gen (greener one). Too bad I haven't turn them to true blue and not sure why 3rd gen color looks like green in my photo!?

Looking good. Man i would love to go shopping there.

That store has opened 25 years in Taipei....Many big shipments of fish all year long, but in summer, Indonesia SPS comes quite often.

Yes, I do see friends from time to time show their RR here, but no idea how they get them. My method is easy, I usually told Elton that both his and my tanks need "this", "that" coral to pop-up color... Then he can do the magic to get them. Don't ask me how....

yup I agree. would love to see them grow into colonies.

Me too ;-)

Oregon tort nice! Green color is probably due to light or adjustment phase? I hear they are extremely slow growers but well adapted to aquarium life. I'll be looking forward to seeing the documentation of their growth.

I also have to add, those two "frags" of wolverine are pretty big with multiple branches. Now a days here everything comes in 1"frags. the newest and most expensive acros tend to come in 1/2" frags. And I think they are starting to call what you have a "mini colony" with corresponding prices. So you got pretty good sizes there.

I got that from Mr. Elton Wang. His wolverine is much bigger, let me check if I can find a photo of his.

Do you mean some of the guys in Taiwan are making instant reefs and then constantly changing out acros they can't keep colored up ?
