I have checked a few very informational friends, one said Mariculture Bali coral/frag, they use blue light cook 24 hrs a day for a few days to best their color before shipping

Shih could you give anymore information about this? Do they use high intensity blue light? Literally 24 hours a day? This is very interesting information!

Looking very, very nice! I really like the colors but also the design in the scale and color placement. Well done.

Hi Matt,

That was what I heard. I chat with some LFS who import SPS from Indonesia and they seem know that a while. What I heard is usually experienced, good location coral farm will put next shipment coral in certain tanks with blue light run 24x7 a few days or weeks to maximum the color before shipment.

Thank you. You have a beautiful tank as well and many ORA corals I like. Cheers!!!

Here are some more I photo over weekend. Hope you like them.

Wow!!!! Shih, your tank is looking absolutely fantastic!
Amazing new bunch of photos.
Growth and health looks really good.
Number 8 looks like an orange passion and of course, number 10 still looks great.
I love the blue and yellow together.
Your tank looks so full and natural, now.
Well done!!

Yes, #8 is a orange passion. It used to be a bigger one in my 2014 tank but I accidentally break it to two and ....a few :headwallblue:

Wow, your finger must have got infected badly...hope you are getting better.

Your new light configuration seems fine. Be sure to retain the ability to change the angle on the brackets that hold the AP700. You'll basically have LED/T5/LED/T5/LED and some added shimmer. :)

Nice set up and corals selections.

Thanks.

Thanks. It is alright now and blood test did not find anything wrong.

Second reason I bought two sets of AP700 after having ATI is for a backup plan in case ATI fail me someday. For current use, I think I may use only 20% intensity ever or to start with at least. Regarding shimmer concern, base on my CAD drawing, 20 degree angle should be find even I sit on sofa (see below), but will never know till it is actually setup, so....yes, I did make 15, and 10 degree angle parts just in case.

Anyway, I am keeping my fingers crossed....;-)

Be careful with that hand. I've heard some horror stories. Reefmutt has a good story about that actually.

It's cool that your LFS let's you help out... I work at an LFS and it would (and does) drive me insane when clients poke around in the boxes when I'm unpacking an order.

Tank looks amazing though. I love the mature look of it.

I think you're more likely to have the LED fail than the ATI, but at least you are covered. My lit ATI sunpower fell in the tank and was halfway submerged. I pulled it out, dried it off, replaced a couple bulbs, and it turned on, no problem:thumbsup:

Shih, I'm very curious to know your opinion on the kessils. They look like very nice lights..

Over 20 years ago, I worked in a pet store and was responsible for unpacking coral orders. On one occasion I had a very small cut on the tip of one finger while unpacking. I didn't even know the cut was there until I was finished unpacking the corals and realized that my finger was very swollen and was throbbing with pain. I assumed it was the salt water irritating it so I washed my hands and took some Advil.
Well, it hurt so much over night that I had trouble sleeping.. I tried to ignore it during the following day at work but it was very swollen and very painful all day.
That night I noticed that I had a red line running up my arm from my finger to my elbow. I didn't know what it was but I knew it wasn't very good...
I took more pain killers and decided that if the red line moved any more up my arm over night, I would call the doctor in the morning..
Well, sure enough, in the morning, the red line was almost up to my shoulder and my finger looked like a hot dog, so I called my family doctor..
I told them what was happening and they told me to come in right away...
When I got there, the receptionist jumped up and ran to get my doctor who was seeing another patient.
He needed only a second to see that I needed to be at the hospital right away.
Luckily the hospital was only 3 blocks away from my doctor's office, so he told me to go straight there and they called ahead to emergency to let them know that I was coming.
When I arrived at the hospital, there was a ER doctor and an infectious disease specialist waiting for me in Emergency...
They debated cutting open my finger and giving me intravenous antibiotics but in the end they only cut it open to drain it and gave me two types of antibiotic pills to take.
After 24 hours, the red line was almost gone.. Luckily the antibiotics worked!
I got lymphangitis, which is an infection of the lymph system.
The lymph system, I learned, is sort of like a body wide 'drainage system' which helps rid your body of infection..
Another day and I would have gone into septic shock, apparently..
It was all very exciting. And my finger ached for almost a year after that..
And for some reason, I still jump at the chance to unpack a coral order!! :)
