Anyone tried the Coralvue Reeflux 10k bulbs?

I just changed to 10k Venture bulbs and too blue for me. Does anyone know if these change to more white after they burn for a while?

I run 10K reeflux bulbs, I lost the color in my Green Monti Cap, but not in my Green Star Polyps.

Anybody else have this problem?

Thanks

Well I've only ran mine for 2 days for about 4 hrs each day now, havn't noticed anything. On HQI ballast the 10k definately is very very very white and blues and purples definately do not stand out as much anymore. Hopefully with my RF e-ballast arrive Monday that'll be different.

I am planning to use 400w RF e-ballast with 10kk reeflux too, can't wait to see your pics.

Must be something to do with nipple orientation. What direction was the nipple oreinted to before/after changing it?

Can someone show me what the nipple is?

Just look at the inner enveleope that holds the gases. It has a little tube that sticks out of it. That is the nipple.

want2reef mine did the same thing, my orange went very light as well as my green. Like I said before, was sure at any moment bleaching was around the corner with this bulb, but it never happened. For some reason my caps went way light in color but really colored up on the ends "deep purple" they had never done that before this bulb. The thing was I took home some lame brown outs from a local LFS and WOW did they take a turn turn for the better, all purple'd up real nice, thats when I really started to like this bulb, for $60 well worth it.
I have a IC electronic 400watt running them, and it's been going on over 3 months now. As soon as my Olympus gets back from RMA I have got to post a pict of a Miyagi that was wasted, it came from a local tank that just let it go. It's almost all the way healed up and the colorup is just to sweet.

Nope e-ballast should be here this afternoon.

Okay I got my 250w RF e-ballast wired up today.

Here is a picture of the 10k on the HQI ballast (left) and the 10k on the RF e-ballast (right). As you can see it has a nice hint of blue, I like it, its just as bright as the left side but a little more aesthetically appealing.
