Dan, it that the lime in the sky?

Looks good Dan.

How long have you had your Oregon tort for? Your colony is huge!
Hey Ramzy. 3:33 AM dude! Whole lota drama over there, huh? Unbelieveable! My OT was added April 08 as a 1 1/2" frag and has been cut several times. Weird thing is that over the last 4 mos or so the color has lightened  I'll try to get a shot of it up soon.

Actually, that's pretty good growth for only 2 years based on how big your colony is. Hope my frag has some of that same magic since it came from you

Thanks man but with your set-up (now that it's back on track) I'm sure the growth and color will be much better

Hey Dan,

You've probably stated this elsewhere but what halides and ballasts are you running in your Spectra?

Thanks
I'm running Galaxy 250s since the both Geisemann ballasts failed. Actually went though 4 of them in under a year and finally gave up. The bulbs are Radium 20Ks. I wish that the Galaxy selectable watt model was available at the time...still might switch though and run at HQI.

I was using the 250 watt Galaxies but switched to the selectable versions recently and have done the 400's and now back to 250 in HQI mode till GHA clears. I may stick with it depending what my corals do or not. I'm running the Radium's of course too...

Just what I wanted to hear  I've been looking at these myself, but wanted to make sure they could thrive without having to spotfeed

Thank you,
Your lazy neighborhood reefer :D
I'm with you in the Reefer Loafers Club  but don't follow my lead on the Scoly yet. It's only been in for a few weeks and with my track record with corals it's always dangerous to follow my lead :o

Spot feeding is a full time job, so the answer is no. I can imagine that it's doable if you only have a 5 gallon tank with one coral in it :lmao:

I'm a anti-spot feeding (aka lazy) reefer as well :D That's why I love reef nurtition products

Mark which ones do you use, how much and how often? I use Oyster Feast once a week about 30 mins after the lights go off. Couple of squirts, mixed with water and just pour it into the tank.

...........about 30 mins after the lights go off. Couple of squirts.........

That's why context is so important when you talk about ANYTHING!!! :jester:

I use a combo of oyster feast/rotifeast/phytofeast. I still have some left over Reef Roids that I mix in when I remember. In terms of frequency, I am on the lazy reefer's schedule, and that is whenever I care to feed :)
