Echoes

Mako Shark II

Fish are Friends not Food
Overhead the albatross
Hangs motionless upon the air,
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
the echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine.

Those of you that didn't grow up in the psychedelic era, just won't understand, so don't even try.

Those of you that didn't grow up in the psychedelic era, just won’t understand, so don’t even try.

I feel like I need to be under the influence of something illegal to appreciate this.

In college I used to work in a nursing home cafeteria washing dishes, had my cassette player in the kitchen while working. The first day I played Echoes, with several minutes of "ping, ping", it freaked the cooks out. They didn't now what that noise was, where it was coming from!!! Funny!

Try driving down a dark road in the early summer, out in the country(off Forest hill Rd) at 2 am with that playing on the Stereo (8 track) in your car.

Turn out all the lights and cut the car off at about 30 and let it coast to a stop with that on till the car comes to a complete stop, and the only sounds you hear are the "pinging" on your speakers and the crickets outside.

Sends chills up and down this old boys spine just thinking about it!! WOW!!!
