It is wonderful how Alan plays right into WaterKeeper's diabolical plans. I was going to suggest a clam, albeit somewhat latter, to test that LED lighting out. Hope it works out well.

Gosh, I would just love to have a Blue Spotted Jawfish, but my sand bed is not deep enough. There are one beautiful fish. I'm jealous.

Reefconcepts has had clams under LED's for 5 months + and all is well !!!

That's good to hear. The Old WK hesitates to recommend new technology until I get good reports over a long term. So far LED's seem to be working out as advertised.

My bed is only 3-4". I have a friend whose Jawfish dug a burrow in the sand bed but mine have taken up residence under rocks where they excavated a burrow and closed the entrance with rocks. Unless you only have one or two inches I would try one.

BTW the "snow" I was getting out of the pipes when I turned my pump back on, has almost disappeared. Must have been some sort of bacterial bloom as some have suggested.

I get that all the time now, especially if I leave the return pump off for a number of minutes. If you've ever seen glass fiber sprayed - that's what it looks like.

Exactly but it's soft sort of like cooked pasta. I had this for about four weeks. I'm happy it's going away now.

Well, I can understand it - if that is the policy Alan. If you pay to advertise on a forum such as this - and others, who are not paying for the privledge- get talked about on the forum - then why did you spend the money ?

So without naming names. A few reefing buddies and I went on a road trip to Richmond to see what their fish stores were like. I ended up getting a Blue Spotted Jawfish and a Crocea clam. The Jawfish was the last one they had that week and I kept going back to the tank and every time I did, he would poke his head out and had that look on his face as if to say "take me home with you". I swear that fish act like puppies sometimes.
After five visits to his tank I finally said "wrap him up". :lol:

You lost me on that post removed Alan. The venture to Fish World is alive and well on the bottom of page 36 of this thread. It isn't against policy to mention a LFS as long as you are not shilling for them. I'll talk to the other mods about banning you if you are interested.
