[welcome]Hello guys and gals , i guess i should have started here before jumping into the forums , please excuse my manners, My name is Kenny , i am fairly new to Saltwater tanks, I had a chance to start off somewhat big , and i ran with it , my first and current tank is a 220 gal dt with a 60 gal sump, i have been running it as a FOWLR for a little over a year now , and now i would like to get into reefing , i just upgraded my lights to t5's (2, 4x48" fixtures , running a 12000k, a figi purple, and 2 true actinics in each) i have maybe 350 lbs of live rock and a 2 inch sand/coral bed. so far my tank houses a large one spot fox face, a orange stripe tang , a regal tang , a coral beauty ,cross hatch butterfly, a sailfin , large school of blue/green chromis and a queen angel. along with lots of snails , crabs and a few serpent stars , and a big bristle star (Hercules), who is in time out in the sump right now. i have learned so much so far and had so many ideas , i am looking forward to starting my journey in corals, and look forward to all the help i can get.
Kenny
[welcome]Hello all! Just set up my 10g tank recently. My brother used to have cichlids but I decided to go the SW route. I have a build thread set up.
Great community here, I'm glad it's here to help us newbies out.
Hiya everyone.
I've been a long time lurker, but a first time poster.
Just got into playing with saltwater, but so far it has been great and very interesting. Just recently bought a JBJ 3g pico and an AC70 with which I'm making into a refugium.
Currently I'm battling some aiptasia that my one piece of LR came with, but Joe's Juice has been helping with that.![]()

[welcome]Hi my name is Josh. I started out with a 26 gallon bow front about 2 months ago and have become hoplessly addicted to this hobby. My two year old daughter loves the small tank. My wife and I are in the proces of gathering ad much info as we can because we want to upgrade to a much larger tank as soon as possible.
[welcome]My name is Win, I was roomies with Thirst in college. Helped him move his many different tanks to several different apts throughout college and after. Just bought one a 35g one off of him b/c I needed a hobby. I get all of my information from him, and am too lazy to read threads. But I am trying to start, for some reason I can't read any of threads he sends me so I figured it must be because I don't have any posts. Am I correct?
